Lohme Apartments

The so-called Schwanenstein, a glacial erratic near the village of Lohme on the island of Rügen, Germany. On 13 February 1956, three boys from the village of Lohme were playing by the shore of the frozen sea. The weather changed suddenly, and a storm broke the ice. The boys saved themselves by climbing onto the stone. As the wind turned into a hurricane, local fishermen and border guards tried to save the boys but they failed as the storm was too heavy. The next morning when the weather had calmed, the bodies of the three boys were recovered from the stone.

"Wer einen etwas ruhigeren Strand abseits der großen Touristenhochburgen sucht ist hier genau richtig. Feiner Sandstrand, nur 150 m Fußweg zum Wasser. Ein eigener Strandkorb gehört zur Wohnung. Der Blick aufs Meer war jederzeit möglich. Aus der Haustür heraus befand sich direkt vor Ort die Möglichkeit einen kleinen Imbiss oder auch ein Eis, Pizza oder Fisch zu essen. "Room wasn’t ready until well after 6pm. If you allow late checkout on a Sunday then resource the cleaning schedule properly to allow the next guests to get in on time, OR DON’T OFFER A LATE CHECKOUT ON A SUNDAY - it’s really that simple! “Room not ready yet, come back at 4”, “room not ready yet, come back at 5 ‘if you’re lucky” WT actual ***k!? Then the cleaner took our dog bowl - why would you do that!? Messaged them twice to see if we could pick it up on the way back from our onward journey but they didn’t even have the decency to reply. Really good facility, but unfortunately it would appear that the management couldn’t run a bath, never mind a hotel. A real shame!"
