「This was my halfway-ish stop on a trip from St. Louis, MO to Mayo. I needed a comfortable room for one night that wouldn’t break my budget, and this hotel delivered. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free hot breakfast was great! Staff were all pleasant, helpful, and busy—everywhere I looked, folks were cleaning up and making sure everything was in tip top shape. 「The clerk at check in was nice. They even checked our room to see if it was done to let us in a bit early. They said the room was done but we found someone ice cream cones in the fridge, the bathtub had lots of hair in it that was not ours, the shower cur6was really dirty and needed washed. We tried to turn on the TV. It didn't work, tried to call front desk to tell them, phone didn't work, toilet was broken and ran after flushing it (unless you jiggled the handle). 「Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious.」

「Gorgeous old mansion on a hill! It has been meticulously restored and is so peaceful and quiet. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic as well. Highly recommend.」

「This was a very old hotel. The flooring in the room had many gaps and was peeling from the bottom. The bathroom sink was very small, and did not have a stopper. The small refrigerator was quite noisy. Otherwise, the room was clean. I would only recommend this for the budget traveler.」

The breakfast spread had only a few options - just providing some calories to start the day. When trying to sleep, I could hear a truck running outside with music playing and when I notified the manager, she quickly went out and made it stop.」

「Expedia reservations made at Hampton are treated with rudeness when the manager Jack says "Oh this is a 3rd party reservation and there is nothing I can do to help you with anything at all!" They made no attempt to assist us with a late (next day) arrival on a 2 night stay. We called the Hampton directly and of course the policy is a penalty of the one night but then Hampton cancelled the reservation and treated my wife very coldly when she arrived the next day.
