Left me wanting...

Building was in need of renovations, room was tiny and the bathroom door was broken (as was the toilet seat). The building's boiler was in our room and clicked on and off throughout the night AS WELL AS leaked everywhere. Bedding was gross, TV was about the size of one you'd find built into a car. The ONLY reason we actually toughed it out and stayed was because it was within a 3 minute walk of the tube station and within a 20 minute journey to the Emirates for the Coldplay concert.

Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else! Anywhere else really.....you deserve MUCH better than this!

Il s'agit en fait de studios plutôt que d'un hôtel. Nous avions une chambre + salle d'eau avec une mini-kitchenette (un micro onde mais pas de plaques). L'état de propreté était parfois un peu limite (frigo et micro-onde) et le studio pas très bien agencé néanmoins c'était plutôt confortable et la proximité du quartier de Camden était très appréciable. J'avais un peu peur de ce que j'allais trouver après avoir lu les évaluations, au final j'étais plutôt rassurée, on ne peut être trop exigeant étant donnés les prix des chambres.

il peggior posto dove sono mai stato, sono entrato nella camera e ho trovato un formicaio sul pavimento. Nel corridoio 2 scarafaggi morti mi stavano accogliendo, davvero un posto bruttissimo.

un hôtel au sous-sol

Des studios en location, dont certains se trouvent plus ou moins au sous-sol, dont les fenêtres sont en fait des impostes qui donnent sur le mur du bâtiment d'à côté. De plus, l'isolation phonique des chambre est pas terrible... je vous laisse aisément imaginer ce que j'ai entendu dans l'appartement d'à côté...

Buy cheap, get cheap

I have stayed in many low-budget hotels in many big european cities and the level of this hotel is the same as anywhere else. The room was pretty clean and the size was ok. The location is great and there is a grocery store downstairs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest problem might be the missing 24h reception. The reception is an office downstairs which seemed to be open quite randomly although they are supposed to be open a cerain period of time. So I would choose a different hotel if I needed a late- heck-in or luggage storage services after checking out (although this was offered to us). At least you should be prepared to contact the hotel staff by phone. I might stay here again. I would also recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower but doesn't need so much services provided by the hotel.

camden hell hole

This hotel is dirty cold and run down there is no one on site to assist you once you checked in on check out we were just told to leave keys in room. This place was more like a grotty bedsit than an Studio apartment as its listed

Location is convenient, but too noisy

The price for the hotel is appropriate for what you get. The staff was accommodating to specific requests that I had. Pros: * kitchenette with microwave & fridge * location is close to shopping, grocery marts, cash machine, etc. * close to subway/underground transportation Cons: * no telephone (but they do have free wireless internet) * no doorknob on my door, which means I could lock it from the inside, but it was difficult to close the door from the outside * door lock is very simple -- I expect I could break in with a screwdriver if I wanted to * single-pane windows -- you hear all of the outside noise * hotel is located in a very noisy area, people were up partying outside until about 4am, lots of sirens going by (I could not sleep through this) * beds are not very comfortable * no shampoo/body-soap be sure to bring this yourself * television reception was very poor

No heating at night ( winter ), hairclip found in the bed, chocolate wrappers under the bed, towels were very old, one roll of toilett paper for 3 nights ( 2 people ) the decor was worn out, the apartment was all in one small room.

Rude manager and nothing like was in Hotels.com si

Manager was very rude and unpleasant. After complaining answer was " I already got money, whys should i care complaints?" Hotel room was so dirty with moldy with ants. Equipment's was nothing like advertised in Hotels.com site. Should be removed from this site. Only good thing was location in Camden Town. This hotel is very bad. Do not go!!!

Wenn man wenig Ansprüche hat, ist das Zimmer vollkommen ausreichend. Küche besteht aus Kühlschrank, 2 Gläsern, 1 Tasse, 2 Tellern, Wasserkocher und Waschbecken. Es ist also nicht möglich etwas zu kochen.

HORRIBLE

It is a dingy apartment where either you can stay or your luggage can stay. Hotels.com should not even recommend this kind of property even for free accomodation.

I don't recommend!

I stayed for 4 nights on the 3rd floor single room. I had a key trouble on the first night,couldn't open the door.There must have been something wrong with the door.The room was filthy,the wardrobe was almost broken,towels are too old to use,and the room cleaning never once came. Satellites broadcasting and internets are unstable,also there was a leak in the ceiling. Never felt comfortable or safe in the room. The location was great,close to Camden Town station,lots of super markets,nice pubs and clubs are around.

Cheap yes, Quality NO!

We stayed at the Camden Apartments as every where in Camden was either booked up or very expensive. The room was cheap, but as the saying goes...you get what you pay for! The TV aerial was broken , the shower tray overflowed, the sink leaked into the cupboard below where there was an electrical socket. The very small high window, with a view of a pigeon infested roof, was screwed shut and the room was very stuffy and hot. The toilet moved around in use and the wash basin was so small and without plug so was pretty much useless. I did ask to be moved but there were no other rooms available and as it became clear the other rooms were no better! They did give us some discount and a maintenance man (apparently) popped in to look at our concerns whilst we were out..this was not evident.... although our TV had changed from 2 working sky channels (when the wire was wiggled) to No recognised channels and we were told that the aerial was broken and a TV man was coming out on the Monday (the day we left) to fix it! The girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful, but the slight smile on her face suggested to me that she was not taking it too seriously, as my complaint was a regular event and there was nothing much that she could do. On the day we left, someone else was complaining and the manager was telling them that he didn't actually work there, so he couldn't help!! We were given a warm sending off and the offer of a better room and good price next time we went there!!

Unbelievable

Booked 2 twin rooms. Got one room with 2 beds (one broken) and a room with 4 beds in. one of these was broken and one was just 2 mattresses on top of each other. this room also had a shower in the kitchen area! with a wooden crate thing to dry on. the 3 beds in this room were in a line right next to each other. all we could do was laugh when we got in. most tv channels didn't work, no sign of wifi mentioned and certainly not representative of the pictures! one of the cups had lipstick on - not sure how long that had been on. so many things to list that were wrong with this place. almost laughable really. avoid.

It's a dump. Don't be be misled by the photos.

I stayed in the triple, like the previous reviewer, and agree with all he's said. Firstly, this room is unbelievably noisy. It has high ceilings and there's a bit of an echo, which means sounds from the street also echo, despite the double glazing. I felt as if the motorbikes were in there with me. There is only one curtain on each window, instead of a pair. A pair of thick curtains is needed on each window, which would very much help with the sound insulation. The second big problem is the worn-out mattresses - springs poking through meant a poor night's sleep. The pillows are thin and without any support. The third problem is cleanliness - although the sheets and binliner had been changed the room had not been cleaned. Food left in fridge, hairs, litter from previous occupants. On a positive note, I found the shower and fridge to be fine (if you don't look up at the mouldy ceiling). The situation is brilliant - just a few steps from Camden High St, a nice little Greek supermarket next door, lots of buses & the tube nearby. The photos give the impression of clean, basic, but functional. The room was just basic, and at present, not acceptable.. The manager and staff know the failings and did their best to help, but the owner is ultimately responsible. It feels as if he doesn't care. I would like to recommend to him that he spends the night here. He might then appreciate the big problems and the small things that would make a difference - hooks for the towels and coats, a set of hangers for the wardrobe, some more utensils in the kitchen, etc. If a week's rental were to be spent on each apartment - new mattresses & curtains - they could be functional and pleasant. Until that happens, somewhere like the Travelodge in King's Cross would be a better budget option. If you want to cook, bear in mind that the facilities here are very limited - despite what it says on the website there was no microwave although the manager did get me one after a couple of days. You'll need your own teatowels etc.

Worst place I have stayed for a long time

On paper, it sounded good but it is a dreadful place. The room had an uncomfortable double bed, a small kitchen area with a sink and a fridge. No cooker or microwave. No table, no chair, no armchair. The only place to sit was the bed. It had a small bathroom that had not been cleaned properly. There were long hairs stuck to the shower walls. It was so seedy I contemplated leaving only that I had already paid in advance. if you are on a really tight budget, stay, otherwise I could not hand in heart recommend this place.

camden court apartment - not really

received a basement room - triple. 6 rubbish bags 5m from only side window, no air conditioning. Toilet base broken and moved around. Top vent window nailed shut. Limited cutlery, no desert spoons, one knife,for peeling only, one fork, two teaspoons. Dble bed clean and comfortable, staff on premises 11am-3pm weekends. Allowed bag storage in nearby room until3pm-good, secure. No cooking facility, hardly an apartment status. Neighbourhood average, tube station 500m from accomodation. # Aussie clients arrived at 8pm on Sat night and could not reach anyone of two staff phone numbers on inside wall, so had to stay at another hotel at their own cost.

Worst place I have stayed in my whole life.....

Despite the location of this "hotel" being really good, I was disgusted by it. To start off the man at reception was rude and treated his staff terribly. A girl showed us to our room up a set of dirty dark stairs. Our door looked like someone had tried to break into it with a crow bar which was pretty disturbing. The room was small for a triple. One of the beds what in front of the wardrobe so we couldnt actually get into it. The curtians struggled to cover the small windows. The net curtains were ripped and discoloured. The kitchen wasn't too bad but the bathroom was a disgrace. The sink was only big enough to wash your hands so we used the kitchen sink to wash our faces and the shower was filthy. The bedding and towels supplied looked grotty and some were ripped, frayed and covered in bleach stains. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!! I stayed in a hostel on the upper west side of manhattan last year and that was clean and it felt safer than this place!! The place needs closing down for a deep clean and a massive redecoration. I felt so ripped off when I left there. DO NOT STAY AT CAMDEN APARTMENTS!!!

Vi blev kontaktet, af stedet fordi vi var forsinket ifht ankomst tiden, der var "hotellet" så venlig at ringe os op, hvilket var en stor trykhed. Da vi skulle rejse midt om natten var aftale bare, at vi lagde nøglen og smækkede døren, hvilket også var en stor hjælp.
