There was no hot water. Therefore couldn't shower or have a bath in the beautiful antique tub. Which was part of the ambiance of this hotel room. My son stayed there 6 years ago and had no water and friends of ours had stayed there 9 years ago same thing no hot water. What is up with that!! .

This isn't like staying at any regular hotel. Didn't see staff at all, in our 5 day stay it was like we had the entire place to ourselves. This was our 2nd time there and we were very pleased with the room and the quiet atmosphere. Very quaint inn and worth a few inconveniences (stairs, no room or maid service) for the unique experience. The rooms are elegant and very cozy. There is a shared kitchen on the 3rd floor, and a full size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. All in all, if you're looking for a unique stay, this is an excellent choice.

If you are traveling for history and historic beauty this is the place, but like a very old Jaguar, even when restored is going to be a bit...unreliable. The hot water, once you turned on all the taps to get it, lasted three minutes...if you are old or disabled, the stairs are a challenge, the AC struggles to keep the room cool and this is when we are not in a heat wave...no refrigerator to keep your food cool, either. It is a beautiful hotel, but not a practical place...like an old Jaguar.
