Nice, large, and clean property. Good place for a family get together. There is a fire pit and large deck for gatherings. Community center offers a big pool and gaming center. We had a great time here!

Lots of issue

When we arrive, there was no one there. The phone number on the listing was incorrect. I was emailed instructions as I was in route to get to the property and so did not have that when I arrived. There was not internet outside. The outside was a little scary. Spider webs everywhere you walked, on steps, the patio. Not tended to at all. Also, the air conditioning did not work at all. We had to go buy window ac units and the owner said he would pay us back but never did. The showers were mostly cold and with a blast of hot occasionally. We need to keep resetting the water heating to get a little hot water. The oven had oven cleaning covered by foil and when we turned it on it put fumes in the whole house and we had to walk out. We could not use the oven. The grill was very rusty. There was a gas fireplace in the living room with no glass or metal framework and any kid could reach into it. There was a receptacle at the dining room table with no cover, wires were exposed. We felt we deserved some money back, the owner agreed, but never did and now will not return out calls. The house itself was beautiful. Its a shame

Could’ve been better!

We had high hopes for this rental as most of the reviews were positive. Overall, we were disappointed and would not stay here again. I will start with the positives: clean, large deck, plenty of space and bedrooms, updated kitchen with good amount of cooking supplies (no measuring cups or spoons/cookie sheets), second fridge in the basement. Negatives: AC units do not work. When we arrived, the two units were off. We were hoping that they needed some time to catch up, but they never pulled cold air. The temp read 63 all week, but it only pulled cool air for less than a minute. I reached out to the owner to ask about the AC the evening we arrived, and he said that they would need some time to catch up. To think that two wall units would be sufficient enough for a house that big is not realistic to begin with; but to have them not even work was a huge inconvenience for our family. While it was cool a few days, it was stifling most days and nights. I informed the owner a few days after our arrival that they were still not working and probably needed serviced. The hot tub needed a new filter and proper chemicals. We used it the second day we were there and it was filthy afterwards. We drained it and added new water; also pulled out the filter to see what it looked like. The filter was so disgusting we didn’t put it back in. I reached out to the owner asking about chemicals and he said that he didn’t think any were there and offered to stop by since he was in the area. He never showed or reached out to help with the hot tub. The hot water in the house was almost non-existent. Stated in the check-in notes we were given, it said that only two showers can be used at a time since the house has a tankless water heater. While utilizing only two showers at a time would have been fine, that was actually not the case. The water would be scalding hot for 30 seconds and then be freezing cold. We would have to stand in the shower and wait for another 30 seconds until we could get hot water again. Mind you, this was with only one shower going. It was nearly impossible to run a bath for the babies, wash dishes, or anything else that we needed hot water for. Both the AC and the hot water usage were grossly misrepresented in the listing and by the owner. The house itself was in need of some maintenance and TLC. There were various things broken and loose. This house could be an excellent rental if it was more maintained and all amenities listed were functioning.

Not a great experience

Several major issues: 1. House was not cleaned before we arrived - dirty bed linens and sheets, rotting meat in unplugged downstairs freezer, hot tub unusable/dirty. Piles of dirty linens on top of washer and dryer. Little toilet paper. No soap for washers. Washer was full of wet, smelly towels. No info on how to use heating and cooling systems. Or anything else in the house. Thankfully, host got cleaning crew out that night otherwise the first night would have been a total disaster. 2. Game room is totally unusable - no balls for billiard table or paddles/balls for ping pong table. 3. Hot water set up is a joke - a house this large needs more capability. Two people showering at a time would lead to cold water. Unacceptable. 4. No chairs to sit on deck. 5. Some smart TVs but no cable-type live channels. 6. The place needs some attention - broken stair rails, lights that don’t work, etc. The place is tired.

Cold/internet

The kitchen water was cold until the day we left. The Livingroom internet never worked. Too hot sometime and cold sometimes. Certain things needed fixing. However, all the place was nice, rooms, bathroom accommodations, kitchen appliances. Need an updated stove. The oven took for every to heat....slow...slow

Long pond

My plans to get away for my 40th birthday was a breathtaking experience. a few icy roads. We managed The cabin is beyond amazing it's beautiful the cleaning ness we had a clean lining. Everything we needed was there to satisfy my stay the space in the long pond cabin is awesome, if you come with a few family friends everyone can go in there own area or y'all can stay together game room was awesome 🌟 a beautiful kitchen. Beautiful living room. Beautiful second living room bedrooms cosy comfortable the hot the tub was amazing I will be booking this beautiful ooohh soo amazing cabin quite a few more times I thank the owner for allowing me to bring in my birthday I enjoyed myself also my family and friends did also... once again THANK YOU 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 GO BOOK THIS CABIN AMAZING

The picture is accurate as far as description of house. There was plenty of space for us 11.

My only issue was the house is very cold in the winter and takes a while to get warm. Also there no bathroom linens except for towels, no wash clothes. The rest of our state was magnificent!!! Would stay again!!

Great place for a large gathering

We went with multiple families and kids ranging from 1-11. The house has a lot of space and numerous beds/bedrooms to help keep everyone separated when it’s time to rest. The hot tub was a big hit in the freezing winter weather. Only a 15 minute ride to camelback. I would definitely suggest this place for anyone looking to get away for a large family/friend get together!

Nice Stay

Vladimir was responsive and the house was great, beautiful and all we asked for. -TV's are for show as they are all internet TV which is fine but wifi cant handle more than one on at a time. The one area with air conditioning did not work.

Overall good experience, but a few areas for improvement

We overall really enjoyed our stay here. The only issues were the lack of basics in the kitchen (there were no oven mitts or dish towels, for example, as well as certain things needed for baking). We also had an issue with the hot water, which was not enough and frequently ran out. I did contact the owner who said he'd have someone check on it, but it didn't get fixed while we were there. The house is on the older side, but it was clean and very private. Overall we had a good experience.

Exceeded group expectations

Accurate listing with amenities on site for our larger group. Property is secluded and beautifully insulated by pine trees. While the usable outdoor space is limited we had plenty of room to set up yard games and enjoy our extended weekend. I would recommend and my group agrees. This one is worth the stay while staying in the area.

Stay Away! Unscrupulous Owner Uses Bait and Switch Tactics

Bottom line -- I would NOT stay here again. Just 4 hours before check-in, the owner texts me and says that 2 of 4 bathrooms wouldn't be available for us over the weekend. That's 12 people for 2 bathrooms -- very different from our expectations. Not only that, but after the first night, the bathtubs in 1 of the 2 remaining bathrooms clogs, and we are left with 1 of 4 bathrooms for 12 people. When I contacted VRBO for some resolution or accommodation for this drastically different bathroom situation, they halfheartedly reached out to the owner, and the owner claimed that since I only listed myself as coming at the time of booking, he was permitted to assume that only I would end up staying at the house over Memorial Day weekend, and that 2 bathrooms were enough for me. I explained that at the time of booking I didn't know who exactly would be coming, and that it was normal for someone to only list themselves at the time of booking, and that it was frankly laughable that only one person would end up staying a long weekend in a house with so many rooms, beds, and bathrooms. Nevertheless, the hapless VRBO rep had no solutions and I didn't push further given that the owner could have canceled the booking and we would be left without a place to stay over the long weekend. I would also note that the owner also has cameras outside the house without any reference to them in the listing, which is a violation of VRBO rules. If you do decide to take a leap and book this place, I would keep all communications on the VRBO platform, as the owner will likely try to screw you and you'll want all your communications auditable by VRBO staff (not that they'll help you, but it can't hurt).

Friends and family had a great time

Property was just as advertised. Enough room for all of us (14 people), and the weather was nice so we hung outside most of the time. Hot tub and fire pit were great. Host was communicative and helpful. Thanks!

Weekend getaway skiing

Property manager very responsive. We had issues with the amount of stated bedrooms. Only five true bedrooms so two couples had to share bunk beds. Hot tub was great. A few other minor issues but things like don’t flush toilet paper can’t be flushed should be mentioned in advance or leaky pipes. Big house just a bit overpriced considering it didn’t have the amount of bedrooms stated

Ski Weekend Getaway

Spent the weekend at this place to go skiing at Camelback with some friends. The house is large and comfortable. Vladimir is responsive and helpful. Would recommend to any group of friends looking for a place to spend the weekend in the Poconos.

Very fun and active getaway! House was very spacious and providing for all our needs. No yard but the driveway was big enough to use when needed. Very secluded, no neighbors around. Definitely would recommend!

Smoke and mirrors

45 mins after what was supposed to be check in time, the abandoned vehicle in the beginning of the driveway should have been the first clue this was not the vacation home we thought it was. As we inspected the property and took photos of all the damages of the previous renters before us, the used condom just under the entrance was enough to us to have a change of mind of what was advertised. There was no “Weber” grill as shown but a charcoal one. The smell of mold was overpowering the first floor. The so called pool table was a generic table on top of a folding picnic table That would fall over if leaned against. The Ac was non existent only in the back room. The water temperature Was scolding to freezing in a matter of minutes, if even, when it was able to exit the spigot. Cigarette butte littered the property. The trash room was a site to be seen having previous residents Garbage for at least two weeks before. There was no cable TV only a WiFi password when we found a extension cord to even plug in the one TV. An RV sat to the right of the property where it’s smoke detector battery went off every 25 seconds. The garage was supposed to be locked although was opened To see the horrendous conditions on tho job this property owner resides. There was no washer and dryer access. There were old random pots and pans, 3 glasses, a few mismatched dishes. When I expressed my concerns to the property owner, he agreed this was not what was expected and told me to find another vacation home that would meet my needs. As I investigated, there was nothing available for me to relocate 11 people on the drop of a dime in the poconos. He then texted me to wake me up at 3 am to tell me i have 12 hours to decide whether or not I was leaving. Lesson learned to read the reviews I would not even recommend for a prom weekend to high schoolers. TERRIBLE!!
