Overall a wonderful stay. Some soundproofing issues in room (could clearly hear coughing in next room and from above furniture being moved and click-clacking heels) but wasn't continuous. Best shower we've had in years, Le Labo bath amenities...nice, super comfortable bed, well furnished and designed room. Some minor service issues/annoyances (check in slow with one person), Gold Level buffet being cleared off right at 10AM so missed that amenity as unaware of cut-off time, even though maybe a minute late to arrive. That being said beautiful hotel, excellent gym, great location, excellent food and bar service, very comfortable room. Despite a couple of hiccups, would be very happy to stay there again for more than just a night.

The hotel was very nice looking. Most of the staff were friendly. When we first arrived the person at the front desk ignored us. Did not acknowledge us. The woman who helped us after finishing with the customer ahead of us wasn’t welcoming until she realized the type of room we booked. She was very accommodating after that. It happened again during breakfast where the server approached my table multiple times to see if I belonged in that specific lounge and even asked for my room number. There was a lot of judgement and assumptions based on appearance or should I say ethnicity that took place during our stay. Not everyone was that way. The valets, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were friendly. The hotel was fancy but I cannot say I’d stay there again.

It is not worth the money

I stayed in Fairmont Century Plaza for about 10days and the telephone in the room just worked for the first night after that it was not working and i had to go down to reception if i wanted something the room was clean and and the room is modern and quiet,most of the staff are friendly and greeting except the other staff who are at reception desk and while i was complaining about the telephone line they said they can’t do anything.At first that i have arrived they said that i have paid for everything and my room is fairmont gold and i have free breakfast and snacks and dessert without charge except for alcoholic beverages so i went to the breakfast and at the end they sent me an extra bill charging me for 3,800$ (370$package +53$tax)per day,and when i complained they said even though you were gold package if you use the breakfast you need to be charged for it. The most basic thing in a hotel room is having a telephone so you can reach out to the reception desk and they didn’t provide this and they told me they will send the engineer to my room and the engineer said he can’t do anything about this.

This property was beautifully renovated. I visited with my teen daughter and felt very safe in the hotel and surrounding area. This hotel is very centrally located so if you are looking to hit up many sites in LA this is a great spot. Quiet and a little off the beaten path but definitely walkable to shopping (Century City) and Beverly Hills area. We booked the Gold level and it was great, They had a separate concierge lounge that you can get small breakfast items/appetizers/snacks and grab water/soda on the go.
