The hotel itself is very clean and the environment is pleasant overall. However, I was extremely disappointed by the poor level of staff service.
During check-in, we were told by the front desk that breakfast was available until 10am. Based on this information, we went down at 9:30am the next morning, only to find that the restaurant was already closed.
What made the experience worse was that the staff directly told us it was our fault for not reading the sign near the restaurant — even though the breakfast time we were given came directly from the front desk yesterday. At check-in, guests wouldn’t naturally go out of their way to find and read signs near the restaurant area, especially if staff have already provided verbal information.
Other groups of guest (they experienced the same issue) asked if we could at least grab some takeaway items as a small compensation for the mistake, but were flatly refused. I found this response really unreasonable — they had a clear chance to make up for the hotel’s mistake, and they chose not to.
Several other guests experienced the same issue that morning, so this wasn’t an isolated incident. I hope the management takes this seriously and works on improving communication and basic customer service.
