My wife and I stayed here in June 2023 for several days. It's a walled off section of a main house in a residential area. There is a large deck outside the front door and a portion of the front yard that feels private because a lot of landscaping provides privacy. There is plenty of parking, we never had an issue with that. The property has a bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. All are large, clean and comfortable. There is a mini-fridge and microwave, not a full kitchen, but we aren't into cooking when we travel, lol, so it was adequate for our needs.
The property is several blocks from Montana Avenue, which has tons of shops and restaurants. We walked there every day for breakfast and dinner and the neighborhood in between is delightful. Many unique houses and amazing landscaping. We always felt safe, even when we walked back and forth after dark.
We also walked down to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier, which is a bit of a hike but was well worth it. We then walked to the downtown area and this was very pleasant as well. There is plenty of public parking by the beach or downtown if you don't want to walk it. We Ubered a couple of times as well, which was cheap and easy.
Santa Monica is also very convenient to lots of attractions. We did a cool drive on Mulholland Drive to the Griffith Observatory while there.
Natalie was a gracious host who reached out to us before we arrived and gave great info on places to go/see. Would definitely stay here again.
