A century-old Spanish villa with peaceful terraced gardens in the historic heart of the Hollywood Hills. This Roaring Twenties registered historic property was formerly a recording studio. Outdoor space features jacuzzi, patios, gas firepits, and dining area with built-in grill and appliances.
Nestled halfway between Hollywood Blvd and the Hollywood Bowl, this walkable Mediterranean enclave was home to the first era of movie stars - Rudolph Valentino, Judy Garland, Charlie Chaplin, and more.
The thoughtful layout of this two-story villa was designed by renowned architect Nathan L. Coleman in 1925 and fully remodeled in the past two years:
Living room features 13 ft high vaulted ceilings and custom dry bar with wine fridge, bar seating, and in-ceiling audio system - ideal for relaxed, sophisticated evenings. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the patio lounge and the Hollywood Hills beyond. Convertible sofa bed comfortably sleeps two.
BEDROOM 1 (formerly the recording studio lounge/green room) has a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, wardrobe room, and private balcony overlooking the outdoor space.
BEDROOM 2 (formerly the recording studio mixing room) is the largest of the three, featuring a king-sized bed and views of the Hollywood Hills. Its large closet served as the vocal booth.
BEDROOM 3 (formerly the recording studio live room) has a queen bed, soundproof walls, windows, and ceiling, for a silent night's sleep, and 55" wall-mounted TV.
Bathrooms feature modern bidet toilets with wall controls and heated seats.
Cooling/heating is controlled via Nest thermostat.
Washer/dryer are available in the attached laundry room.
Guests have 100% privacy and access to the entire property except the garage. Parking is available in the driveway (2 cars, side-by-side)
Quiet Hours: Los Angeles Home Sharing Ordinance requires guests adhere to quiet hours at 10pm.
I love my neighborhood and my neighbors. Please be respectful and help us keep the peaceful hideaway vibe of this special neighborhood.
A quiet stroll around the block is highly recommended. Head up the street for a grand view of the Hollywood sign. Or head down the street for a secret staircase leading to the top of Whitley Heights.
Hollwood Blvd is a 10 minute walk away. The subway station is a 15 minute walk and reaches Universal Studios and downtown LA, connecting to all points beyond.
If in town for a Hollywood Bowl show, ask for the hidden path to access the pedestrian tunnel from our neighborhood.
