Peaceful, lakefront house on Guist Creek Lake/ Shelbyville-Bourbon Trail

House on Guist Creek Lake near the Bulleit Distilling Co. This 3 bedroom/2 bath house has all the benefits of enjoying the lake, traveling KY’s Bourbon Trail, or relaxing at a peaceful getaway. Three furnished bedrooms- a king, a queen, and two twin beds. The kitchen is fully furnished. Den offers a beautiful picture window for you to enjoy lake view. Patio w/table + chairs on a lighted porch. 2 Kayaks available in season (May - Sept). Must let me know two weeks prior to check in if you plan on using the kayaks.

Fun Family Weekend

We had a great stay with our extended family for a long weekend. The house was neat and clean and had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed kayaking and fishing in the evenings. The location was convenient for getting to area distilleries and the city of Frankfurt. Communication with the owners wasn’t necessary during our stay but was very quick and easy prior to our trip. We will definitely recommend this location to friends and family! Thanks for having us we had a great time!!

Relaxing, quiet, fishing

House provided for the basic essentials. Near grocery, near marina, near dining. Fishing was nice and we spent 2 whole days just relaxing on the partially shaded dock, drowning worms. Caught a few nice bluegill and 2 young bass. Neighborhood was quiet and we were comfortable. Elderly likely not cut out for trips to and from the dock as there are lots of steps down. Great place on the lake! Even enjoyed some stargazing while fishing one night.

Home was clean and in good shape. We had 4 adults and 1 child and had plenty of room. We loved the private dock for fishing and the fire pit for s’mores. The beautiful view from the living room was a highlight of the house!

Great Bourbon Trail House!

We enjoyed our stay at the house very much. The location was perfectly centralized to all the distilleries we visited, and you can’t beat the view of the creek! The house has everything you could need and Emily was super responsive when our very few questions arose. The outdoor space was beautiful and the fire pit was an awesome feature. Highly recommend booking this house for your stay.

In the middle of it all!!!

We came to Kentucky for a music festival in Louisville, but spent as much time doing that as touring the parks and distilleries in the area. The house was very well furnished and clean, with great views!

Excellent choice for the Bourbon Trail!!

Really no true negatives here! The host was excellent at communicating when we had very minor concerns. She truly thought of every little detail for amenities. The house is well stocked. The weather and bright street lights were certainly not in her control! Bring an eye mask if you're drmsitivrcontrol!

Relaxed visit

My sister and I had a relaxed visit here. The only problem was the master bedroom. There was a scent on the sheets that was a little overwhelming. It kept my sister awake the first night, so we switched rooms and I was awake the second night. We both ended up in the bedroom that had twin beds. Other than that, the place was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the lake from the family room.

Trip for KY Ren Faire

Wonderful home and property, with a beautiful view and close to the KY Renaissance Faire. The home was very clean and well stocked and had a great layout. The owner was very responsive and communicative with us, which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this property and owner and we look forward to returning in the future.

Peaceful backyard

We enjoyed our stay at the Bass and Bourbon house. There was plenty of room for our group of 6. The backyard space was our favorite. Even though the home is in a neighborhood, the backyard was secluded. We enjoyed watching the boats on the lake. The house was very clean. Amenities such as soap, shampoo, charging stations were appreciated. Beds were comfortable.

Rural Bliss

Initially, we didn’t realize how far the property was from downtown Louisville, but this became a non-issue as we discovered the charms of Shelbyville. In addition to two nearby distilleries, the town offered great dining options. The Farm for breakfast is a MUST. The property lived up to its advertisement and was very comfortable. We wish that we had more time to enjoy the yard and the lake. The host was very responsive to issues that we raised, which were very few. I highly recommend this property.

Comfy beds, clean bathrooms and showers, a great backyard with a fire pit, two kayaks, and direct access to the lake. Located around the corner from the Bulleit Distillery. Would highly recommended!

Great place to stay

The beautiful view of the lake from the living room made this a very pleasant place to stay while on the bourbon trail. Located almost exactly between Louisville and Frankfort made this an ideal home base. Nice clean place, with comfortable beds and a quiet neighborhood. What more can you ask for?

Get together with some friends.

Great place for a peaceful get together woth friends. Not far from many different things and experiences. The only issue we ran into was that the AC was not cooling the house. It was cooler than outside but 78 degrees is warmer than we would have liked. The host was very prompt with their responses and did a nice job taking care of us.
