「Property was wonderful. It was very close to the beach but kept private by the lovely greenery. Very good value for money. It is very simple. You have everything you need. 「We have stayed at the Waterside Suites previously. The location is excellent. Property clean and well equipped. Excellent shower but bathroom dark and no storage space for toiletries. WiFi was very hit and miss during our stay. The view from the balcony across the bay would be gorgeous if only the trees were cut back, way too high.」

「The hotel is on a hill. We only went there by car, it was too hot for us to walk up and down. 「Amazing villa, by far the best we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean with every amenity we could have wished for. We enjoyed the huge shaded area which was perfect for chilling with a book or drying off after a swim. The local beach is very small but great for a swim or a snorkel. The directions to the villa were great and kept us off the rough tracks which a sat nav can take you via. We enjoyed the taverna at Avithos beach which has great food and lovely views. We definitely hope to return!」

「This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia.」
