The location was excellent, with easy access to local shops, which was very convenient for our needs. The property was very clean & well-maintained, and the bed in the master bedroom was exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen was a bit small, but has all the basic amenities. We had a very pleasant experience and would recommend the property for its great location, cleanliness and comfort!! Thank you!!

Great stay!

The property matched the listing well. I thought the pullout would have been in the lower level so it was a little inconvenient to make up the bed/sofa each day. There were quite a few spiders in the home, mostly on the ceilings, could use a treatment. The lower patio sliding door does not stay locked but there was a stick to put in the door. We ventured into downtown Ludington each day; it was a quick 10 min drive. The house retreated into a quiet wooded area which was a nice break from our days out.

Great Location

The location was great and we had enough room for 5 people. We enjoyed coffee and the view on the patio each morning. The fire pit area was a bit disappointing. It was left with long branches in & around it which we had to clear out, and only had two chairs. The logs that were intended for "seats" were rotted & covered with ants. The lower level sleeping area was roomy, but there was a loud pump of some sort that would kick on & off at random times. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Working vacation

We are building a house and we stayed here while we were working. It was a great place to relax after a hard day’s work. Everything worked and the fire pit and charcoal grill made it comfortable and feel like home. I would go here again.

Pleasant stay

We enjoyed our week in Ludington - house was clean and comfortable, kitchen was well equipped to cook at home, kids enjoyed the games. It was easy to get to the park for hiking, beach, kayaking, etc, and also close to town.

Small Cottage Not Suitable for Groups

This cottage was pretty bare bones. Kitchen was well outfitted but table was too small for our family of 4 to eat at. Limited outdoor seating. Deck was small. No chairs for fire pit in back. Sheets didn’t appear clean. The sheet on the pull out bed was very dirty with liquid stains on it. The location is close to Skinny Beach but far from the town of Ludington. So, our stay overall was ok but we were bummed at the lack of outdoor and indoor seating. Also there are only room AC units so the cottage wasn’t cool throughout.

Very nice, comfortable property

House was a very nice lake cottage with some privacy. Lots of room and beds and was very comfortable for 5 adults. House was clean and having linens and towels available was a game changer. Close to Ludington center and Lake Michigan so very convenient.

Cute house with thoughtful touches

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. They provided lots of extra touches (new hand soaps, dish soap, paper towels, etc) which is so nice when you’re traveling. The only thing I would change is the couch. It’s not comfortable but we made due. Overall, it was a great place and I would definitely stay there again!

Nice and cozy home

We stayed at the end of July. Our group consisted of 8 people ranging from 4 years old to 73. The layout of the house worked great for us! It says there are only 2 bedrooms, but there is an additional queen bed in the basement. Small kitchen area with a small table, so we had to eat in the living room. Easy check in and check out process. My only suggestions to make it better would be central air and extra TP available 😉.

A Must Stay Place

To think we almost overlooked this property because of 1 review complaint that the furniture was unclean. This was by far cleaner than any 4 or 5 star national recognized hotel and suites!! No dust on windows, fans or bathroom corners. Everything was clean and accommodating! Pictures are very accurate and the place is beautiful. The weather was low 50’s so we didn’t take advantage of the bonfire materials. But we did use the charcoal grill. Scott the owner was very helpful and resourceful through emails. Any questions or concern was personal. He personally uses the property for his own vacation time and has every reason to be very proud of the property. The beds, linens, and towels are very nice. They are not lower quality just to provide. Anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and safe stay in Lundington in the semi-secluded woods this is your place. This place is in a small neighborhood a couple street in the woods with water across the street through someone’s yard. Im not sure there’s actual public access to the water. But it is very short drive (5-10 minutes) to the lake, shopping and restaurants!

Great Location to the beach

The cottage was cute but needed some overdue maintenance and upgrading. It was dirty and the furniture needed cleaning. We’ve rented homes before and never had to make the beds upon arrival! If your going to list the home as sleeping 9 people you need a hot water tank big enough to accommodate. The one plus is that it was a quick drive to the beach.

Nice, but supplies are needed

The home is comfortable and nicely decorated. Check-in was a breeze. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. Our only drawbacks were the living room furniture was old and dirty. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable (most are, but this was a whole new level!). Also, no extra toilet paper was supplied (just what was on the spool and those were nearly gone), no paper towel, dishwasher soap or trash bags were provided. For the price of this house, it would seem those are amenities that should be included. With all this said, we did enjoy this rental and would likely rent it again.

Staycation

The property was very nice and extremely clean. We had 5 kids in tow, so we did have to stretch the amount of provided garbage bags, and we did have to buy more TP. Other than that 0 complaints. The gift basket was a lovely touch and the provided coffee was a life saver. Thank you for a great time!

Friends weekend!
