Surrounded by some of the best trout fishing rivers and lakes on the planet plus on the 'around the mountains cycle trail', this historic cottage C1892 has recently been virtually rebuilt for the 21st century comfort expectations.
Within a one hours drive to Queenstown. Te Anau and Invercargill, situated in a semi rural setting while only a 5 minutes walk to the supermarket, pub, fish & chip shop, cafes as well as a fly fishing retailer. Many guests use the cottage as a base for their Milford Sound adventure.

Cottage in Lumsden

Ida Cottage was perfect. Beautifully renovated house at the end of a cul de sac overlooking paddocks and sheep with views to the mountains. Walking distance to the supermarket and cafe. Duncan has thought of everything a guest might need - comfortable beds with high quality linen, masses of fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen. Fast WiFi, efficient A/C and heating. We loved it. Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes.
