Superb Yurt Rental near George Washington National Forest in Luray, Virginia
This superb yurt rental is located in the town of Luray, Virginia, on the Shenandoah River and makes for a unique vacation experience for up to 6 guests in Page County. The yurt is available year-round and is within five minutes of the spectacular George Washington National Forest.
Sleeping arrangements include a queen-size bed, a full-size bunk bed on bottom with a twin bed on top, along with futons. Comforters and pillows are provided with linen on main bed … linens, blankets, and/or sleeping bags you bring for other beds.
Guest will have access to a full-size "comfort station," or bathroom facilities, which is within steps of the yurt. There are men's and women's rooms, including two shower stalls, three toilets, and sinks, as well as hot water and propane gas wall heaters. Toilet paper and hand soap are provided. Bring towels.
Additionally, inside the yurt, a round table that comes with four chairs, as well as a mini-fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a waffle iron, a Crock-Pot, a coffee pot, a blender, and two portable heating and air conditioning units. There is also an oak cabinet electric fireplace with three flame settings and a flat-screen television with a DVD player. Guests will need to bring their own DVDs.
Outside the yurt, there is a picnic table; a fire pit that doubles as a charcoal barbecue; and a separate pedestal charcoal barbecue.
All yurts are on the Shenandoah river, offering guests a picturesque view as the sun rises and sets. They feature accented porches that give them a rustic feel. In addition, the property offers a comfort station with hot showers, three toilets, three sinks, and two shower stalls in each men's and ladies rooms, which are clean and well-maintained.
Guests will also have on-site electricity, water hydrants, a playground set for the children, fire pits that double as charcoal grills, and a picnic table. Guests can ask the site's hosts about canoes, kayaks, and tube rentals ( fees apply) (A complimentary shuttle to the bridge can be provided with advance request when renting and guests can then float back to camp in tubes. This stretch of river is about two hours and 30 minutes of floating depending on the level of the river.)
