"After some bad weather prevented us from staying at our original planned accommodations, someone suggested we try the Mimslyn for the night. So we booked on the app and checked in around 11:30 pm. Beth the manager was fantastic - very kind, welcoming, and helpful. The room was well-apportioned and spotless. Breakfast the next day was also excellent. All the staff were friendly and informative. Most options in Luray are the strip-mall variety of hotels. The Mimslyn is a stately building with charm and touches of luxury, topped off with staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If you're staying in the area, this is hands-down your best hotel option."

"The staff is very nice. The hotel could use a little fresh up. The bathroom curtains really needed to be changed seeing that they are white. We were in town just to hike and not many hotels in luray so we didn’t have much of an option. Stay was professional and very nice."

"This was a lovely spot for our getaway! The condo is spacious and bright with amazing views of the river and greenway. The location is fantastic with plenty of walkable dining, coffee, and entertainment options. The Caverns are just a short drive. Our host was very communicative, helpful, and friendly. "The cottage is darling. Perfect amount of space for 2 people....but, the listing needs to be corrected. I will premise my concerns by stating the owner noted a correction at the very bottom of the listing ...so be sure to read the ENTIRE listing. The photos shown show a well maintained and manicured property. The property is overgrown with trash laying about. There is no washer/dryer available and the fireplace is not to be used. And most important - the front door does not properly lock. You have a screen/storm door that locks and a chain lock on the front door. The side and back doors lock appropriately, but your front door is steps from the street. Once our reservation was confirmed, we received a list of "house rules." You are not allowed to change the temperature setting on the thermostat, which is set for 69 degrees. The house is old, so you must be careful to not use multiple appliances at the same time or you will trip a breaker. Not usually a big deal, but the breaker panel must be downstairs in the locked basement (along with the washer/dryer) because we searched the entire house looking for it. "

"The townhouse itself is located in a nice area that is conveniently close to a shopping area, which was a big plus for us. The hosts thought of everything their guests might need during a stay: they even included snacks and coffee. The townhouse was extremely clean, roomy, and comfortable. It has a fully stocked kitchen and extra paper supplies, great WiFi, and plenty of green space in the front and back for the fur baby. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. The cost, location, and amenities met our needs for this vacation perfectly. "
