this was the most beautiful and comforting villa we have ever experienced. A rare view of lake Atitlan. The property is immaculate, the staff is overly accommodating fun and friendly, the artwork and placement of all is spectacular! The gardens are brilliant! The perfect retreat & reunion for 3 elderly women...loved by all!!

This property is absolutely stunning. Excellent location, gorgeous pool hot tub, incredibly helpful staff around the property and a wonderful trip! Aaron was SO HELPFUL in arranging our transportation to and from the airport and around the lake. He also helped arrange our groceries prior to arrival and was nothing but wonderful to work with!

Beautiful oasis

House was truly amazing. Beautiful lakes side villa, with pool, hot tub, secret gardens and patios. The house feels warm and loved, with very kind caretakers always present to assist. Good host.Don’t hesitate to book. 110% recommended.

Heaven on the lake

Blaine and Stephanie’s home on the lake is just beautiful ! We enjoyed our short stay with family for three nights. House had all the needed utensils and amenities where you didn’t feel like you needed to leave. Although the town is a short tuk tuk ride up the hill and has some cute bakeries and places to eat. Overall a great stay and they help organize excursions and rides too ! Elisio was fantastic host

Perfect Lake Atitlan home base

We went to Guatemala with our family of 3 young children (9, 5, 2), my mother, and my sister and her husband. This place was absolutely perfect. We could easily walk to town to explore and take lanchas (boats) to the other towns around the lake. Walking to town was a 10 minute uphill climb but very doable, or hire a tuk tuk!There is always one staff member staying on the property and they were SO helpful. Theyd warm the hot tub/pool when you asked, theyd start fires in the beautiful fireplace by the hot tub. Theyd call tuk tuks for you, and just take care of the grounds in general. We always felt so safe and taken care of! We hired their chef Carmen for a day, and she was fantastic. Highly recommend. It felt like a dream waking up to the amazing view of lake atitlan every morning. We couldnt take enough pictures! Dont hesitate on this place! Its amazing and you wont be disapointed!

Perfect for group trips!

Great home base for our group of 6 friends who were looking to explore, unwind and have a good time together! We stayed for 5 days and found ourselves choosing to stay on the property cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen our lounging by the pool. I personally enjoyed the access to kayaks to go on morning trips around the Lake. Really appreciated the attention from the property manager and on-site concierges—they were excellent! Highly recommend this place if you’re coming in a large group, there’s fun around for everyone of all ages .

Beautiful stay

Blaine's house is absolute oasis. We loved hanging out in the heated pool and hot tub and Aaron helped arrange for private transfers all around Lake Atitlan which we loved exploring. San Marcos is the closest town and has limited restaurants/shopping. I would recommend stocking up on groceries in Panajachel before coming to the house... would love to get to stay here again!

Lake Atitlán August 2023

Had an amazing weekend getaway with the family in this hidden gem in Guatemala. The house is beautiful and the scenery is exceptional. The groundskeepers are great guys, Jose and Edgar made us feel right at home. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful home exactly as pictured. Check-in was three but the home wasn’t ready until nearly 5, we weren’t able to access the pool or the Jacuzzi until the maid and groundskeeper finished up from the previous guests.We also had an issue on the last day when the nighttime caretaker did not show up and the Jacuzzi pump was left running. We covered the Jacuzzi and I sent a message and received a quick response from the owner that he would notify the property manager. The property manager did not respond to me. We were looking forward to a couple hours in the pool on the final morning, but it was left uncovered during the night and was too cold to use that morning.Other than those two slight hiccups, I would say it is a beautiful property, a good location between the two villages, easy to access. Only one garage parking space available, if you have two cars, you have to park the second in town and it was quite expensive. The employees were fantastic and worked very hard to ensure that we had all we needed. Just disappointed in the couple of small hiccups mentioned above.

Most amazing place!!!!

Wow!!! This place was incredible. The views!!! It was the most perfect location with the most perfect views of the lake and volcanoes. The staff on property were soooo attentive and amazing. The house was so perfect and had everything we needed. Aaron setup all of our transport, tours, chef, and everything. He was incredible always checking in and making sure everything was going great. If you are planning on visiting the lake, I recommend staying here 100%!!! We cannot wait to be back!!!!

Amazing property

Breathtaking views from the villa! Wonderfully appointed and decorated with lovely antiques and art. The only disappointment was last minute notice that the chef services we requested were not available so it was difficult to get food to the house for 7 people — nearest full grocery is in Pana and since it was new years restaurants were booked or closed. The on site caretakers (Edgar, Elisio, and Mariano) were amazing! …So kind and helpful. Edgar’s wife even made us homemade tamales for New Year’s Eve in leu of the chef. We are very grateful for that gesture! We took great tours through WE Travel (Domingo is the best guide ever) and the ATV tour through Simoon via viator was awesome. Would definitely return to this property

Beautiful Getaway

Blaine's place was absolutely stunning! The house was decorated with antiques and artwork from Guatemala. The beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular! The staff working at the property were friendly and very helpful, so was the property manager. It was a quick 10 minute walk to town. We really enjoyed our meal at the Restaurant Fe in town. There were a couple of downsides to this property. The traffic on the road behind the house was quite loud at times in the master suite. The levels of this house are only connected by outside walkways. We all felt very safe, but the only way for my children to lock their rooms at night was to use the room key. Which also meant to get out of their room in the morning, they needed to use the key. This could pose more of a difficulty if you have small children. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Thank you!

5 Star review! The villa on Lake Atitlan is in an excellent location, just minutes from the small bohemian town of San Marcos La Laguna. Although this was our second visit to the Lake and the Villa Casa Blanco, we still discovered hidden gems on the property and the lake. The property grounds are spectacular! The landscape includes, but is not limited to Palms, Amaryllis, Heliconias, Bougainvillea, Bananas, Mangos, and numerous other blooming vines. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked leaving nothing overlooked. The pictures on the site of the property, although beautiful, do not come close to showing how fabulous the villa is in person! What more could a guest want. Our stay was made incredible by both the owner and concierge! Booking and interactions with the homeowner Blaine were easy. Aaron, the lake concierge went above and beyond to help all the excursions around the lake. The onsite staff (Eliseo, Edgar) were very attentive to our needs from going into town and getting medication for stomach illness we had, to arranging rides to town, getting Kayaks out for us, and communicating the schedules of the villa support staff. Highly recommend the villa for a tropical retreat.

Family Christmas at Lake Atitlan

Our stay was nothing short of AMAZING! The house is a dream - beautiful, spacious, and clean! Booking was easy and the homeowner was very timely in responding to questions...I had a lot. He also had a great contact for all our transportation in Guatemala, Ruben was outstanding! Aaron, the concierge went above and beyond to help arrange excursions, chef, and even worked on Christmas day to find a contact for wave runners to be delivered to our dock! Aaron even called after our departure from the house to confirm we connected with our ride back to Antigua. The chef was incredible, I highly recommend utilizing the chef not only for great food, but to add to the relaxation! I woke in the morning to the smell of coffee and breakfast being prepared. The onsite staff (Eliseo, Edgar, Jose) were very attentive to our needs, warming hot tub, starting fires, arranging rides to town, and communicating their schedules. The grounds are impeccable! The walk to town is short, but hilly, a great morning workout. It was easy to get to town for groceries, great restaurants, and the kids loved the bakery and gelato. Experiencing Christmas in San Marcos was a thrill from mass at the Catholic church to the fireworks around lake. It was indescribable! We always felt safe and well taken care of! We will definitely visit again, I want to bring everyone I know and share this whole experience and exquisite property!

Found a scorpion in our bed!

I wrote a long review, but it exceeded the character limit so I will keep it brief. The views were beautiful, the grounds were amazing, and Eliseo was very kind. There was tension before we arrived due to poor communication with Blaine and the house manager, Aaron. The price to arrange things, like transportation, was about double the cost of booking it ourselves, so I did it myself. We did hire a chef through Aaron, but they had to cancel the day before we arrived. This was our #1 most important thing when booking, and Aaron and Blaine wouldn't help us find a solution. We had to rearrange a new chef ourselves. Once we got to the house we found a literal scorpion in our bed! The house was dusty and the cleaning lady never came. The staff would come in and out of the house whenever they pleased, sometimes taking over areas themselves making them unusable to us. The primary bedroom bed was so squeaky that it would squeak if you took a deep breath, traffic noise was quite loud - No sleeping in! There were planned power outages that the staff didn't tell us about, but luckily our chef did. I’m used to traveling in a mix of places from luxury to offgrid backpacking. I understand in a place like Guatemala you are not going to have every amenity at your fingertips. There are going to be power outages, noise, bugs, etc. but being treated rudely by the staff and property manager is where I draw the line. Communication was poor and the house was dirty. I would not stay again.

We had a great stay here over all. The property manager was very communicative and helpful whenever we reached out. Staff was also amazing, the guys were extremely helpful and kind. Also the recommendation for the cook as well as shuttle service were great and made our planning easier. The property was beautiful and picturesque. The only negatives were the primary bedroom was closest to the main room so lots of noise and there we so many spiderwebs.

Amazing Place on the Lake!

Truly amazing villa with unforgettable views and vibe. Perfect for three adults and four children. Staff was wonderful and super helpful. Also, kayaking was great and the boat taxi can drop you off at your own private dock. Great place and highly recommend! -Colby

our 2nd stay at this property

it's an amazing home with views for days, we love this home. the check in process could be faster, there are multiple people involved and it's a bit confusing at times who to speak to abaout what. don't get the in house cook as pricing is not provided, even in ranges. i was surprised about how much food was costing us, when i tried to cancel she told me she had already bought the food, which is odd because she couldn't tell me how much it would cost. I reported an accident, when the hammock broke in the porch and host was un-responsive but the local care-taker told us he was aware that my son fell and hurt his back. a bit of a mixed bag, but the house itself is amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay! Edgar the concierge was very attentive and helpful. The house is enormous for the four of us and the grounds, Polk and hot tube are just beautiful! The only negative is the dogs barking all night.

Amazing girls trip!!

This beautiful property checked off all of the boxes for a recent girls trip. The grounds of the home are jaw dropping and the home itself is gorgeous. We felt very safe at all times, thanks to Emilio and Edgard. We had a lovely experience. I highly recommend.
