I would have given this a full 5-star rating because it truly is a charming place and great location. Our only issue was finding the apartment. Make sure you can watch the entry video provided by the host, this place is tucked away in a very old building that is quite a maze. I will stay here again if I’m in the area! The host was very helpful.

A sweet apartment overlooking a large courtyard filled with greenery. Host was responsive and informative. Bed is comfy, heat plentiful and hot water much appreciated. Nice to have a little kitchen to cook a bit. Loved the location halfway up to the Basilica. That said, please see the YouTube video about how to get in and find the apartment. It was very helpful.

Ich kann nur jedem von dem Loft abraten. In der Beschreibung ist keine Rede von 55 Stufen, einer Matratze auf den Fußboden, einer stinkenden Toilette oder schmutzigen Geschirr im Schrank. Vielleicht mag es für jüngere kein Problem sein alle Koffer und Gepäck enge Treppenaufstiege hoch zu schleppen, aber man sollte in der Beschreibung darauf hin weisen. Das Bett ist eine Matratze auf dem Boden mit einem alten Untergestell. Sehr wahrscheinlich sollte das ein Futon Bett sein, was es genauso wenig ist, wie die vermeintliche Gestaltung durch einen Architekten mit Sperrmüllmöbeln. Die seltsame Toilette stinkt wie eine Kloake und die Tür vom Bad musste immer zu bleiben. Die Lage der Wohnung ist zentral, aber auf einem Hügel und man sollte sehr gut zu Fuß sein.

The property is in a beautiful location. It is very true to the listing with a comfortable bed and couch. We were surprised by the size. Check-in is made very easy with the host instructions.

Amazing Place!

This was by far one of the neatest places I have ever stayed. We loved the town and to come back to such a great flat was icing on the cake. Highly recommend.

Very cute room, need to be able to walk uphill and up a few flights of stairs but the neighborhood down the hill is very pretty with lots of shops and restaurants. Nice size bathroom and basic kitchen set up, large living room with table and openable windows.

I will start by saying that the host was very helpful. The room was clean. The rate was very reasonable. The following is in fair warning of things I either missed or weren't clear to me anyway. This place is on a very steep hill. It was no fun with full size luggage. Once you are up the hill, there are three sets of stairs to climb to get to the accommodations. The bed is not up on a frame but on the floor. I would say a total of about 12" high. If you have physical limitations of any sort, this may not be the place for you. Everything you go to see requires a downhill, then uphill climb. Per normal, there is no air conditioning.People who are backpacking around or with little luggage, this may be a perfect place for you.

A lovely and relaxing petite pied-a-terre. Property is looking a little tired in places, but nevertheless a cracking base. Helpful if you’ve hit the stairmaster in the gym before staying!

The apartment was everything that i expected.

The apartment was excellent. In Old Lyon, so a very old building with huge character. Great location. Met some wonderful people in Lyon. A very beautiful city.

Cozy Spot in Perfect Location

I had a great stay! The location is great—right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The place was clean, comfy, and had all the basics covered. The host was friendly and communicative. It was a perfect, cozy spot to come back to after exploring the city. Highly recommend!

Great Lyon Getaway

I had a fantastic two weeks staying at this property to explore Lyon and the surrounding area during the Rugby World Cup. The apartment was clean, well appointed, and Laurent and his wife were very friendly and responsive. Vieux Lyon is easily accessible via several different stairways, the road, or the funicular.

Stay in Old Lyon

The location of this property is amazing with regards to tourist attractions … 10-15 minutes walk to the Basilica and Roman Amphitheatre, and less then 10 minute walk to dozens of restaurants!!! Our only disappointment was that the sofa in the living was quite dirty; otherwise the apartment is perfect for visiting Lyon.
