A charming nook in the heart of Lyon

A wonderful little spot that is in the beating heart of Old Lyon, many shops and restaurants are a stone’s throw away as well cultural landmarks. Hope you like walking because there will be a lot of it unless you rent one of the many available electric scooters you will see along the sidewalks. The streets can be a little loud at night but it wasn’t nearly as bad as my jet lag. Affordable, and lovely.

Petit appartement idéalement situé

À deux pas d’une station de métro, dans un quartier plein de restaurants et d’ateliers d’artisans, ce petit logement incongru satisfera une personne ou deux, pour un séjour de quelques nuits à Lyon, pourvu qu’on ne s’attende pas au grand luxe (pas d’ascenseur, pas de sel, poivre, sucre ou café à l’arrivée). Salle de toilette minuscule. Le voyageur sera surpris par la disposition des lieux : pour atteindre la chambre à coucher qui se trouve sur la mezzanine, il faut abaisser une trappe… À deux pas aussi du Musée des beaux arts de Lyon, malheureusement fermé la semaine où je suis passé à Lyon.

L8illustration sur le site est jolie mais l’appartement est tout petit. En guise d’exemple, étant plus grand que la moyenne, je ne pouvais pas fermer la porte de la toilette quand j’y allais. L’accès à la chambre se fait par la douche et l’abaissement d’une trappe du plafond.Mais quand vous êtes dans la chambre, plus moyen de redescendre, sans remonter cette trappe… Aucun kit de survie n’était fourni à mon arrivée, ni capsule de café pour la machine particulière de l’endroit, ni sel, ni sucre. Aucune information touristique quoiqu’en cette ère d’Internet, j’avais tout trouvé d’avance. Et attention aux marches menant à l’appartement du 3e, elles peuvent vous faire redescendre aussi ite que vous êtes monté.
