“Beach front cabin could not be beat for location and the cabin was clean and a great home base for all things Mackinaw city within walking distance, including the ferry to Mackinac Island. Beach is rocky in places, so be sure to bring some good water shoes! Access to the amenities of the nearby hotels was also a nice bonus, although some of the hotel facilities are a bit dated and have some deferred maintenance. “We had such an amazing time at Cabins on Maple River. The cabin and property are absolutely stunning. The balcony over looking the river was so relaxing and peaceful. We did have a few very minor issues like the front bedroom bathroom sink was very clogged up but in a half hour i had it pkungered out and draining fine. The lights in the upstairs hallway were burned out so i bought some new ones and took care of that. Someone staying before us unpaired the remote for the back bedroom took a while……

“There was 11 of us staying at the Riverview house and we fit perfectly. Ages ranged from 1 to 64. The house was very clean and was well stocked with cooking supplies and bathing supplies. The view of the river is amazing with lots of boats passing through. The field next to the house was great for some family sports like baseball and football. The communication was great with the owner and she even sent a few activities that were happening in town for the weekend we stayed. We have a yearly trip……

“The property is very remote, tucked into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there was no direct access to the lake. The cabin was simple and rustic. Since we were just staying overnight, it worked out very good for us.We had breakfast at the local restaurant where we were seated on the back porch overlooking the lake. “The property was clean, quiet, and bug free on the inside. It was definitely Michigan weather. Air conditioning in the morning and heat at night. Lol. The lake was pretty and the loons were singing at night and in the morning. At night you havr a great view of the northern sky. No dark sky park needed. Firewood and charcoal seemed to be provided, which was a really nice amenity. It was a short trip so sadly we didn't use any of it. Next time we'll come for a week. Rent cabin 7 if you want a dock……
