"The air was very damp and smelled like mold. There was indeed some black mold on the shower curtain and on the window curtain. Everything felt slightly damp in the room including our pillows. It was therefore extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We woke up in the morning feeling nausea presumably because of the disgusting air. There was also a door to the outside that rattled loudly every time a gust of wind blew which also made it hard to sleep. Overall I would recommend finding different...

"La meilleure place où séjourner sur l'île de Pico. A distance de marche du port et de tous les restos et cafés de Madalena. Nicolau est un hôte proactif et professionnel qui met tout en place pour que ses invités passent un beau séjour... Du panier de bienvenue rempli de produits locaux, aux réservations de visites de vignobles en passant par des suggestions d'activités. Il est un hôte parfait ajoutant une valeur certaine au séjour. La villa possède de grandes pièces et une grande terrasse entièrement aménagée offrant une vue à couper le souffle sur l'océan d'un côté et sur le mont Pico de l'autre. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée pour cuisiner de délicieux repas et admirer la vue jusqu'au coucher de soleil. Nous reviendrons certainement un jour à Pico et c'est sans hésiter que nous louerons à nouveau la maison de Nicolau!"

"We had an amzing stay. The staff were so calm and helpful. Nothing was too much problem. Wonderful location looking to Mount Pico and also across the water to Faial. Restaurant has a balcony looking out towards the sea. Seafood rice exceptional - lobster, crab, prawns, mussels etc - make sure you are hungry."

"We received an exceptionally warm welcome, with helpful staff at the reception and unexpected gift items in the room. Free parking in the basement garage was easy to access, and we were allowed to leave our car for the day after our checkout. Location was as central as it can get, with beautiful views of the Horta harbor."
