Good spot for traveling Madrid

This is a good spot for your Madrid adventure. The neoghborhood is nice and quiet with plenty of restaurants and super markets. We found it easy to walk to the Prado, Reina Sophia, Thyssen, and Parque El Retiro.

Ávila Villa Magnifico

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing property! Plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and between the two kitchens we could find everything we needed. The pool is an added bonus.

Overall very clean, organized and pretty apartment, well located with modern appliances and well supplied. If only the air conditioning can be turn on before hand the apartment will cooler specially on summer time.

Great place

The place was nice, we had a few challenges with the electronic key system as the provided instructions were not in the correct order. We had trouble reaching the office via WhatsApp. (our only method of communication) and via messages on the Vrbo app and did not hear from them until the next day. But when we did all was clarified and turned out well. They said they will fix the instructions for future guests.

Mayhem in Madrid

Some ways to describe this place would be, "Prison-chic" or even, "Halfway House Lux". The way to enter the apartment is not very easy at all. The property management company has multiple properties in this building and we weren't the only ones having issues with their entry system. The space is small. Very small. If you're thinking small, it is smaller than that. We didn't bother with cooking there because, well, it was just not worth the effort to figure out what we could do with so little. The silver lining? It's close to the train station. Need a taxi? Go to the train station and get one. It's that simple.

Would not recommend

This flat has no curtains so there is no nighttime or daytime privacy for the occupants of three bedrooms and the living room. We called the reception and a lady kindly came to investigate. Technical service was reportedly called up but no one showed up. All Spanish buildings typically have persienne shutters as standard on the wall to darken the room but this flat has none. It has white see through blinds from Ikea that can be rolled up and down but this clearly does not block out daylight or neighbours across the road from peeking inside the living room and bedrooms. This was missing from the property description and should have been specified. The flat was also missing essential kitchen tools incl scissors and corkscrew. Minor items but inconvenient and an extra outlay for visitors. Again this should have been specified.
