Nice apartment close to everything

Overall the apartment was very good. The location provided easy access to metro and most attractions. The apartment wasn't large but it was big enough for my wife and I. The AC units worked well and we were comfortable. I do wish they would have provided dish detergent, paper towels and more toilet paper.

Nice property, good neighborhood

The property was well maintained and in a good location. Within 20-25 minutes walking to the 3 major museums and 10 minutes from Plaza Mayor, which had a multitude of outdoor dining options. Food there was good, although not spectacular. Lots of issues with entry to the apartment. Doors were operated by an electronic link with an APP sent to your telephone. Unfortunately it worked sporadically. There were back-up keys which worked fine for the outside doors but jammed in the apartment door. For a US citizen, the appliances were not obvious how to operate. However there were instructions on how to operate the microwave and washer/dryer in a box in a shelf in the closet bedroom. Recommend that these instruction be put in a more obvious location and the front door lock replaced.

Great neighborhood, comfortable apartment

The apartment was not huge but comfortable. Large kitchen table and sofa for relaxing. Great neighborhood, easy to walk to everything. Our only issue was that you need your phone with cell connection to get into and out of the building. Although the agent was helpful, a few times I was worried that my phone batteries would die at the end of the day. There was a physical key which we were told only to use for emergencies but I would have preferred that or a code as an option rather than my phone.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We had an entire week with no sleep at all as the apartment is directly above a Night Club shisha lounge called Colors, which plays loud music until 4am even on weekdays. Even when the club eventually closes as at 4am, the patrons spill onto the streets yelling and laughing. We were glad to leave. As for the apartment itself, we contacted Madflats on the first day to advise that the washing machine was faulty and followed up twice over the following days, but nothing was done. Really bad experience all round.

Hopefully you don’t have an emergency!

We returned from a day trip to Granada around midnight and the hot water tank (heater) located in the kitchen above the washing machine sprung a leak. Luckily we were there otherwise there would have been major damage to the floor, the washing machine, the walls and the floor below (there has been damage before since we noticed some water damage to the ceiling in the bathroom). I found a bucket and a container used for cleaning supplies and I tried to contain the water. I called the management company but they were closed. I used WhatsApp to reach them and no response. I tried to turn water to the made hot water tank to no avail and had no tools to turn it off. I contacted VRBO and they tried to reach the management company and no luck. I spent the entire night until the next day dumping water out of a bucket every 45 minutes. I was contacted around 8am by management and they indicated I could leave when I wanted to that they would send someone over to dump the water and fix the tank. I explained in great detail that if no one is there in 45 minutes the bucket will overflow and there will be a lot of water damage. They told me not to worry. In good conscience I didn’t leave the apartment and missed a day trip to Toledo. Finally around 2pm there was a knock on the door a woman representing the management there to empty the bucket I explained in detail that there’s a limit to the bucket and anything after 45 minutes and there would be damage. She said she understood.

Un apartamento Vrbo en Madrid

El apartamento tiene una excelente localización. No estoy satisfecho porque sólo había un jabón bien pequeño para tres personas y para cinco días, solo había dos rollitos de papel higiénico. La lavadora no funciona, lo notifiqué y nunca la fueron a arreglar. Solo había tres toallas para tres personas usándolas cinco días. En fin, tuvimos que ir al supermercado para comprar jabón de baño, papel higiénico y botellas de agua. Por otro lado, tuvimos que buscar una lavandería para lavar la ropa. El drenaje de la ducha está medio tapado, cuando uno se baña se acumula mucha agua en el piso. El drenaje no funciona bien. Hubo demasiado ruido en el apartamento del piso de arriba. Al llegar nos gustó como luce el apartamento, pero luego de 5 días experimentando diferentes situaciones creo que en el futuro usaré el servicio de un hotel y no Vrbo en Madrid. Vamos a ver cómo nos va en Sevilla, Barcelona y Zaragoza con Vrbo.

Great place to stay in Madrid

The property was just as advertised and shown in the photos and very clean. Great location to explore Madrid on foot. The check-in process was easy because electronic access was provided before arrival. Communication with the property managers was good- we reported a broken lamp upon arrival and provided photos as evidence. I would recommend this comfortable apartment to everyone.

This apartment is perfect for a couple wanting to stay in a fab location in Madrid. The check-in process was a breeze and the hosts were there via WhatsApp for any questions. The apartment is in a busy location in Madrid, so if a light sleeper some earplugs would be recommended but this didn't deter from the enjoyment of our stay here!
