Not a rental by owner

This is corporately owned and operated property. No homey touches. No coffee. The elevator didn't work the day we arrived. The sheets and towels were clean. No extra sheets or blankets for the couch. The door looked like it could have been pushed open from the outside. No double lock or deadbolt. The apartment felt like the Apartment from Taken. The only reason why we stayed is because we had travel safety door locks.

Clean and serviceable

Extremely well located, with a metro stop right outside the door. There are bars, cafes and shops all on the doorstep. The apartment has been updated, and at the time of our stay, other renovations were being carried out on lower floors creating a bit of an inconvenience. The apartment does not have any blinds or shutters on the living area windows, allowing the apartment to get quite warm, and making it near impossible to use the sofa bed. There is no washing machine, but there is a laundromat a few minutes walk away. Overall, a convenient stay.

30th anniversary trip to Spain

When we arrived on Friday night we noticed that the tap water was cold but it wasn’t apparent until the next morning when we tried to shower that the apartment had no hot water. When we called for repairs we were told that as it was Saturday no one would be in til noon so we left message and went out for the day. Saturday night we were able to shower but Sunday morning there was no hot water again.Contacting help was even harder on Sunday - the phone was hung up on us, we were accused of being water pigs, finally we were told it would be fixed but not til late in day which it was. Everything could still have been fine except the same thing happened on Tuesday and then again on Thursday - no hot water and more ridiculous phone calls for repairs that never fixed the problem permanently. This was really our only gripe with the apartment but hot water is essential to us.
