This hotel had no house keeping at all. The whole time we were there they did not come clean at all. We stayed there for 10 days. The pictures on the website have to be older because this is not what it looked like at all in person. Details about this place are very misleading. The staff was mean and terrible. They did not try to make our stay comfortable after at all. When you are a traveler you trust the reviews and Expedia to give you a decent stay. I can’t believe how miss leading expedida was for this place. There is no way in hell I was would stay here for more than 5 minutes. Please do not stay here EVER! Every night we went to be we felt super unsafe and were waiting for something bad to happen. Extremely disappointed in Expedia for such misleading information.

Well I am truly sorry you feel that way. I know for a fact that your rooms were cleaned every day as were all the other guest rooms. Every room has also just been freshly painted as well as most of the outside of the hotel and the yard was completely cleaned (some of the work finished up while you were there). So other than some differences in patio furniture and some artwork on the walls in the common areas, everything is pretty much exactly as the pictures are.And in 8 years, our staff have never had a single comment about them not treating guests with respect.Perhaps this has more to do with all the problems we had processing your 3 different credit cards? And I find it curious that you stayed for a full 10 days if you were so unhappy with the service.

Good stay. Room was comfortable and clean. WiFi didn’t really work but we had cellular service to use. Breakfast menu with plentiful options and hefty portions. Property is for sale apparently.

Hey James. Not sure what is up with the Wi-Fi but we will take a look. We have a 150Mb fiber connection so there are typically no issues unless Claro is having problems (not uncommon).Appreciate the review.

The staff were kind and the room was simple but clean. One of the reasons I picked this place was because of the rave reviews about their breakfast, but we found it to be disappointing.

El Mirador is the perfect place to stay in Managua. It is conveniently located and the staff is kind and helpful. I would recommend El Mirador to anyone in Managua for a single night or for an extended stay!

Excelente lugar!
Lugar atendido por su propios dueños!!! la atencion es excelente, muy muy limpio tanto los baños como las habitaciones. Acojedor para pasar unos dias con la familia. Tiene cerca lo que llaman puperias (pequeñas ventas de bebidas y snacks), buen desayuno. No usamos la piscina pero funciona. A veces se va la luz y el agua en la zona pero se escapa de manos de los dueños. Totalmente recomendado!!!!

A Gem
We stayed one night to break up journey between UK and Little Corn. Communications between myself and the owners was the best I’ve ever had. We were greeted by Lazor (Sorry if spelling is incorrect), who was a great host. Nothing was too much trouble. We only had a selection of cheeses and breakfast the next morning but both were great. The property is very clean with comfortable beds. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

As I was only passing through Managua for a couple of nights I was looking for a nicer place to stay. El Mirador was a great choice. The property is clean and airy with all amenities such as A/C, wifi etc. There is a pool to relax at and the owners/staff are very hospitable. Try the baked goods!

El Mirador Suites and Lounge is truly a hidden gem in Managua. It is situated in a good neighborhood, close to good restaurants and shopping. The whole place is sparkling clean and so tastefully decorated, it makes you feel at home right away. We didn't want to leave. The breakfast was fantastic. El Mirador is our new favorite place when visting Managua.

Absolutely wonderful in every way!
Nicaragua is a beautiful country and being able to stay in such a nice hotel was definitely a plus. Despite the news, we felt completely safe while we were there. The staff goes out of their way so make you feel welcome and meet any need. The bed is orthopedic and the room is so comfortable that we slept better there than at home! The breakfast is plentiful, healthy, and delicious... no matter what you choose on the menu. I can't imagine staying anywhere else now.

Outstanding in every way
We consider this the best place to stay when in Managua. The staff made us feel at home and went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. The included breakfast is exceptional and; their pancakes are wonderful!!! They also serve other meals and snacks which is not only super convenient, but guaranteed to be homemade, healthy, and absolutely delicious. There is nothing we tried that we didn’t like. We would highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Great boutique hotel experience
A very decent bed and breakfast type boutique hotel with on site managers/owners looking after their guests. Top notch service and communication throughout the stay. We need to be on the south side of Managua for an events and this place was a perfect fit.

Excellent owners that go beyond to ensure your stay is both pleasant and comfortable. The entire complex was super clean which is as a guest is something I have high expectations for. Sitting out in the open air veranda enjoying a drink at night and breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable.

Our favorite hotel in Managua - AWESOME!
Absolutely amazing in every way! Comfortable, quiet, clean, safe... The breakfast can't be beat... healthy, abundant, delicious. They will also make arrangements for other meals if requested. This is something that came in quite handy since we didn't have to find another place to eat out. But the quality and atmosphere made dining here an added plus. Great job!

A little piece of paradise in Managua
Extraordinary in every aspect. Truly this has been one of the best places we've stayed in Central America, comfortable, cozy, and an ample and delicious breakfast. The owners are super hospitable and make you feel right at home. We will definitely consider returning when in Managua.

I could not have had a better stay!
I could not have had a better stay! From the hotel, staff, and owners it was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend it! My favorite 'niche' part of stay was being able to rent the mountain bikes. The room was clean, spacious and newly remodeled with a nice mix of modern bathroom and furniture made of Nicaraguan's finest woods. The hotel sits on a corner hill just over local community which made it for a very pleasant breeze whenever eating in their restaurant morning or evening. It was perfectly located just outside of Managua with quick access to carretera Masaya and travel to Granada and Leon. But the best was the support from staff whether it was finding ferry times for travel to Ometepe Islands or finding a local mechanic to fix a minor problem on my car. Very friendly, and full of local information for expats or from native perspective. Check them out!
