Weekend Getaway
The property is very nice and the view is beautiful. Sitting by the campfire out back looking at all the stars at night was amazing. Cabin was clean and fit everyone with ease. Only issue we had was all the huge flies in the cabin but that could have just been the time of the year. We kept windows and doors closed so we’re confused at how they kept multiplying. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Excellent Location & Poperty
Beautiful setting, well-maintained, with space for everyone and all the necessary items to make a VRBO your home away from home. Living space was open and gas fireplace was a nice touch, view off the deck of rolling hills and forest were excellent after a long day of skiing. Kids enjoyed the game tables and space in the basement, mom/dad enjoyed the main floor living space. Will return again soon!

Family Ski Weekend
Perfect place for a family ski weekend. Very close to Shanty Creek and close enough to several other ski areas. House had everything we needed to relax and enjoy family time after skiing.

Beautiful Cabin
We absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was super clean, had a lot to do, and was very spacious! There did seem to be a ladybug problem! We found dead and live lady bugs everywhere! Other than that it was amazing!

Great trip!
We had a great time this week! The house is beautiful and in a great location with plenty of room for our entire group. We took the kids fishing at Johnson's Pond almost every day. Made the trip up to Leland and Traverse City. It was an awesome week.

Secluded and Beautiful
A very nice property secluded yet relatively close for many day trips. Had a great beach day at Petoskey state park,a nice boating day on Torch lake and an all day trip to Charlevoix for the Venetian festival. It was a wonderful trip and was very relaxing at the cabin. This was my 3rd year at this property and 2nd at this cabin. Great week.

Perfect for our Family Vacation
We stayed here with our 5 adult children--loved the ping pong table! It worked well for all of us including 2 of our kids who had to work remotely a few days. Good location--we went to Mackinac one day, kayaked another, played putt putt in Traverse City also. House had plenty of room and we enjoyed the deck and picnic table also.

The location is great because it is within an hour of so many great Northern MI attractions and also only 2 hours from Mackinac Island which is always close to my heart. Great Ski Weekend
This was a very nice place to stay for a group of friends. We had great communication with the hosts. It’s a good half hour away from Boyne, which is where we traveled to. The wifi is a little slow but wasn’t a huge deal. We would recommend staying here to others!

Beautiful northern location
A great location for all of your northern adventures. The rental has all your needs and is perfect for couples and families. A couple mattresses could be updated. The check out cleaning process is a little bit more than I’ve experienced elsewhere. Give yourself extra time to vacuum and sweep the floors and wipe down the tables.

Hi Eric I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have the mattresses on the radar for updates in 2022 as we value our guest comfort and feedback. Light cleaning was set up as a way to keep cost down for guest not having to pay a 300.00 cleaning fee on top of their rentals as is factored into other properties. Great winter get-away!
We came up here to snowmobile. We had perfect weather to go along with a perfect place to stay. The hosts Kathy and Jeff were amazing. The snow was coming down pretty good. They wanted us to tell them when we were an hour away. We pulled up to Jeff snow plowing the area for us. He also told us where the best trails were.. Thank you Jeff. Kathy helped us find a fun place to hang out at too. Very thoughtful Hosts. Their home was clean and cozy with everything you would need to entertain. We had a blast. Super close to trails, restaurants and stores, but nestled away on a serene country road. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so very much. The Everys

Winter Stay
Overall it was a wonderful stay. When reviewing, if everything is as expected, I give 4/5 stars. If the place goes over the top, then I give 5/5 stars. The place was clean, pictures represented the space well and communication was spot on. Items that I think could be improved: better quality mattresses, increased hot water for multiple people showering.

Great property up north!
Great property up north especially to do one day trips to some of northern Michigan‘s hotspots! Fantastic house with a beautiful view, comfortable beds, and game tables for older teenagers were a bonus. The property manager was extremely prompt in taking care of a kitchen sink issue while we were there, fixed within two hours! We’ll be back!

A comfortable stay in a central spot
A very nice cabin with plenty of room for us and our friends. Well stocked with things to do on our "off" days when we weren't traveling. For those days when we were traveling it was an easy day trip to get to all the top spots from the Sleeping Bear dunes to Charlevoix. I would definitely recommend this stay for visiting the top spots in Northern MI.

This house was perfect place for the 10 of us for a family vacation. Close enough to stores, but nice rustic feel. Surprisingly few mosquitoes outside. Would highly recommend!!!

Snowcation
We had 9 people, 2 families staying together. Perfect location for winter outdoor fun. The weather was perfect and there was snow. Kathy was wonderful to deal with and helpful. The house was a perfect size for all of us. Loved that we were able to eat all together in the kitchen. The location was secluded, which is what we wanted, but close enough to have outings for sledding. We hope to come again next year.

Winter getaway
Visited with friends in our bubble for the last weekend of January 2021. Location was good as we were just outside the town of Mancelona . Being 5min from the grocery store came in handy. Was about 20min from Shanty Creek skiiing and tubing and the snow was ample enough to snowshoe on-site. Beds were reasonably comfortable but not amazing. I would bring my own pillow next time as they all kind of sucked. There were enough pots/pans/glasses/utensils/etc to prepare food. Was kind of annoying to have to bring our own propane tank (yes we could've used the one the manager could bring THEN we'd have to go fill it in town, but we didnt want to deal with that particular hassle - plus we'd then leave a mostly-full tank?). This being the medium-sized cabin meant it had the foosball and ping pong tables - - the kids stuck to the foosball for the most part, i think. bedroom 1 in basement had 2 bunk beds with a tv, so the kids were able to play their nintendo switch and watch movies on the laptop i hooked up to it for them one night. Cabin was pretty spacious for a family of 4 and a family of 3. Area in mudroom and entryway were great for storing all the winter stuff we'd brought. One annoyance was temperature. The thermostat is in the main room (also where the gas fireplace is) so if you run the fireplace (and even if you don't, really) the basement is SUPER cold. We found we had to leave the fireplace OFF and close most of the vents on the main floor to get the basement to a somewhat reasonable temperature. As its not clear, there are 3 cabins/houses on the site. the medium and small cabins are right next to one another. Happily, we were the only ones renting this winter weekend, but I would worry about being annoyed by neighbors in warmer months. Overall, it was a good weekend, but I would likely look at other options in warmer weather as there isn't a ton to do on-site.

Wonderful Stay!
We loved everything about this property! It was very clean and well kept. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions we had. The basement space was great for the kids! We had two families, 16 people total and never felt crowded! We went skiing at shanty creek which was only 15 minutes away and also went to traverse city (40 minutes) wine touring. We would definitely rent this property again!

Good location for ski resorts
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean and nice smelling, even in the lower level. The kids loved the ping pong and fooseball tables. It was secluded and had a beautiful view. It was a great location for us to ski at both Treetops and Schuss mountain. We appreciated the book of nearby amenities and menus. While the kitchen was stocked fairly well with cooking equipment and dishes, it would have been nice to have a few pantry staples available, i.e., cooking oil, salt. The biggest con for us was that the road and driveway were not salted and a complete sheet of ice the entire stay. It made every coming and going very difficult. Our van actually slid off the driveway turning in upon arrival, into the adjacent embankment. We were thankful that the property manager was nice enough to come out and tow us out, but feel that this should have been better taken care of ahead of time and prevented.

The road was cleared and salted earlier and it just accumulated too fast. The property manager is aware to check more often. As far as the pantry goes, I did mention in my welcome note that you do need to bring items for cooking. Sometimes there is a bit of time between guests and stuff can spoil. Now that we have a pandemic, we really could not house any pantry items in order to keep everyone safe. I hope you can understand. Our Family's Vacation & Oasis During A Hot, Dry and Stressful Summer
The Maple Ridge VRBO rental offered our family so many things. This was our son's first real "adult vacation". Our son took a week off of his job. He really enjoys the outdoors, hiking, campfires, but really appreciates the comforts of home--which made this an ideal location. The location in Northern Michigan was easy to find, surrounded by some beautiful wooded hills. It felt far off from civilization, but was actually conveniently close to towns when we needed to by food and supplies or just wanted to explore nearby shops. The property was well maintained and it was awesome that it has a campground across the road that our extended family with camper trailer could stay. It was within a short bike ride or walk. The property was very clean and organized. Very welcoming and we all felt very at home. The large deck with picnic table, grill and chairs made it a great place to grill in the evenings, play games and a relaxing place to sit, drink coffee and visit with parents. We loved the bedrooms, just the right size for everyone. Plenty of bathroom and showers to go around. The three bathrooms were perfect for the number of rooms we occupied. The bathrooms, toilets, sinks and showers were very clean. The living room and game areas downstairs were a big hit with all the family. A great place to relax in the evening and during the rain. The kitchen table was great for meals and games. We really appreciated the well stocked dishes, cookware, washer and dryer. The only thing our son and parents noticed was the lack of television. While there were TVs available, there was no dish/cable connection, and to our son's disappointment the television available wasn't compatible with the XBOX gaming system he brought with, to play when he needed to decompress and relax. Side-note: Most of us though the beautiful weather, campfires and games were a great distraction from tv anyway. :) We had a great time and would definitely recommend the rental property and would look forward to staying again. Thanks and kudos to the property owner and management that keeps the place clean and welcoming.

This property is entirely underrated. It was amazing, all the luxuries of home, and then some. Spacious, beautiful and clean. I would go back again for sure! Management was more than accommodating and the process was easy!

An enjoyable family vacation.
The property was very nice. The kids really enjoyed the foosball, ping pong and fire pit. The property is centrally located and close to a grocery store which was very convenient. It is also close to a lot of trails and parks the children enjoyed. Bellaire is a nice little town about 20 minutes away with outdoor seating for takeout food from the local restaurants which was important as we didn't want to go inside too many places due to Covid 19. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. We had a wonderful week and would recommend this property

Nice house for group
We rented this house for a couple of families together for a vacation. It was a nice house that fit everyone. Kids really enjoyed the ping pong table. House was clean and the property manager was great to deal with.

Great Cabin!
We stayed at this cabin for 4 nights in July with 2 other families. The cabin was extremely clean! The kids loved the bunk bed room, the ping pong table and the foosball table. The beds were comfy and the cabin itself is very roomy and homey feeling! The location was centrally located to other places in Michigan we visited and very quiet. (Mackinac and Traverse City). The rental owners were very quick to respond and helpful and check-in and out was a breeze. Only suggestions would be to have a bigger garbage can in the kitchen and wish there was a propane tank to use. Our cars were already jammed packed so bringing our own tank was too difficult. Overall we loved the property and would highly recommend! Thank you!

Our 4th of July vacation
We enjoyed the 4th of July weekend with the boat on Torch Lake.. The house was clean and very nice...The kids had lots of fun...definitely a place to comeback...

Wonderful cabin for a big family to spread out
We had a great stay over the week of New Years and even added a night. The cabin was spotless with a great layout for a mixed family. We had two sets of grandparents upstairs in the two queen bedrooms and our 3 kids and us on the lower level in the queen bedroom and 4 bunk bedroom. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. The living areas including kitchen, dining table and seating / couches had a great open concept and allowed for all of us to play games, puzzles and have great conversation at night. As for recreation, Shanty Creek was 20 min away for tubing / skiing, Boyne Mountain 30 minutes and Boyne Higlands just about an hour. We went to all three. We had a nice dump of snow - about 10” - and our kids enjoyed hiking and sledding around the cabin as much as the downhill skiing! While we didn’t snowmobile the trailheads were very close. Overall a great experience and we look forward to coming back in the future. Finally, A+ service from Barbie and Kathy with quick response to all questions or requests.
