$150 price was high for the quality. There was no staff on site when I arrived. Side door was open, room door was open. Security should be tighter. The room was reasonably clean. Staff was polite on the phone. Simple beakfast is provided. The TV channels were good.

There was know one at the property to check my 2 daughters in that traveled from Maine for a celebration of life. I had to call and a woman instructed me to tell them to go to the desk and get the key out of a basket full of keys. When the girls got to their room it smelled musty, cigarette smell, blankets where yellowed. The sheets were a blue fuzzy blanket with particles on it! Windows fogged over with mold. If it is a self service hotel it should be advertised as that!!! I would have never booked there if I knew that. What if something went wrong in the room, what if power was lost, what if you needed a fresh towel or whatever! There also was another gentleman that was there saying he was scammed and not happy as well!

There is never staff on site so we had to call repeatedly to check in, and were out of luck. if we needed something during the day. Pool was closed, no notice and not told to us before checking in, despite me telling them when making the reservation that we were swimming for my daughter's birthday. At one point our room keys quit working and we spent 45 mins trying to call someone, ended up calling non-emergency police because the hotel wouldn't take our calls. While waiting at the front desk, another couple came to demand a refund because they had a dead MOUSE in their bathtub! We also found a giant spider in our bathroom. Place is falling apart, windows are all covered with some weird gross film. Half of the doors don't lock, we had to switch rooms twice after learning our locks didn't work. Exterior doors don't have locks, so whole building is unsecured. Stay literally anywhere else.

Couldn't find our Expedia payment at check in. Once we told them we were reaching out to Expedia they were suddenly able to locate it. Once in the room we found room conditions very poor. Obvious signs that the room hadn't been cleaned. We found lots of hair covering the entire; bottom of the tub. This prompted us to look at the bedding. We pulled back the covers and had found a significant amount of body hair covering both beds. While examining the beds we then spotted numerous bed bugs. Went to front desk where we were offered a different room. Inspeced new room with front desk staff. Bedding dirty. Bathroom vanity light was out. Spider had built up a web in center in tub. Pool closed and filled suspiciously with furniture. Found hotel management to be combative and: ery tough to deal with. After finding the beds in the condition they were in and a obvious infestation problem clearly we were not wanting to stay at the hotel after seeing 2nd rooms condition. 1st room assigned was 208 (this is the one with bed bugs) second room shown was 110.

We were with a group renting 4 rooms. One party left in the middle of the night because of bed bugs. There were cobwebs, dirt and grimy corners. We won’t stay there again.

Horrible Experience

We booked this hotel as it was small business with a pool along with affordable rates. Well after I booked and looked at the receipt I was charged $141 in mandatory fees. Hotels.com said they were the hotel fees, the hotel said they were Hotels.com fees. I still have not received ANY explanation in the fees even after repeated phone calls. Once we got to the hotel, the luggage cart had half inflated tires which made it difficult to use. There was no elevator too. The industrial ice maker was broken so they were using a residential counter top ice maker or they had to run to the local gas station for a bag. All vending machines were either broken or empty. The pool was closed, they stated because of covid. Once in the room when we put our bags in the bed we noticed some sort of stain/substance on the bed comforter. We did not undo the rest of the sheets. When we looked around more we saw numerous live lady bugs crawling around. There was splatter on the toilet seat. Someone's left over beer in the fridge. Pizza crust on the floor along with a part of a cigarette wrapper by the dresser. There were dead bugs in the light fixtures. A broken fake fingernail was found on the floor. So who knows when the floor was last vacuumed. For the heat/ac the plug in was missing a cover so any child or pet could have been shocked or worse. The tub had soap residue left on the tub shelf. Needless to stay we decided to leave and go to a chain hotel. With covid going on cleanliness should be #1!

Lady at desk was very nice and friendly. Hotel in renovation new owner. Needs updating bedding , furniture, etc. Close enough to drive to New Ulm and Mankato. Will stay again after it is finished renovating.
