Makai Hideaway 600ft from Ocean Giant Deck
Gameroom/10 day special in Fall
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was wonderful and the host was the best. Good tips for traveling and finding things in the island. Had every amenity at the house you could think of."
"This was a lovely place to stay for our family of six (kids ranging 9-16). It is not new, but it has a lovely homey feel and was clean. We put two kids in bunk beds, one on the couch, and another on the living room bed. The living room space was comfortable for watching movies together and the dining room/lanai accommodated us well for meals. We appreciated that the location was a bit cooler (no AC needed) and secluded, making it worth the slightly longer drive to local beaches. I really appreciated that there were a variety of stocked pantry items that minimized the condiments/spices/etc that we needed to buy in town. The hosts were very kind and welcoming to both us and our children."
INCREDIBLE VIEW!! 5 BEDROOM HOME WITH PRIVATE POOL OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN!

"House is very nice. Lots of room. Beautiful sunset view from the top deck. Neighbors are friendly. No air conditioning, but the house has nice ceiling fans. The owner gave wonderful suggestions on places to go."
"An incredible place! It was a cloudy night, but had it been clear, it would have been a stunning spot to watch the sunset. Of our 4 VRBO’s on our trip, this was our favourite!"
"This place was cool. It doesn’t have ac. And it doesn’t say it does. But it’s needed. Wish I would have seen that. You leave every window and door open you can to sleep. Ocean noises all night 15 out of 10.If you would like to shower, that poses a little bit more difficulty. The water pressure is horrible. Doesn’t have enough pressure to wash the soap off of you and It literally shuts off for 30 seconds and comes back on again. if one person decides to go to the bathroom. It will stop the water from coming out completely. To run the dishwasher or washing machine it’s three times as long as it should be since it has no to water pressure to fill itself up. I asked owner about it, he told me to call some maintenance guy. I did, never heard back. We made it happen. But the one thing I really didn’t like and I think needs to be addressed before anyone stays again. They have video cameras watching you come and go. Now this is iffy in my opinion. But the kicker is they have it so they can see in the pool. Not ok. Even the door leading to the pool is not ok. My 7 year old daughter apparently got naked to play in the pool. Now they have a video of it. I’m hoping they are good people and this will be taken care of. I did inform my family, but it was to late."
RELAXING, Away-from-it-All home on the water with small Natural Pool
10/10 Excellent
"Carl and Deb are amazing hosts! They're very open with communication and the check-in process was seamless! The pictures they share do not compare to the actual home and scenery! This was truly a home away from home for us. The kitchen was definitely made for staying in for amazing evening meals with a picturesque back drop! The walk-out allowed us to watch sea life from above.... from reef fish to dolphins swimming by in the morning! Mahalo C&D for everything! We will be back!!"
