Fabulous Family Beach Vacation

My family (6 adults) had a wonderful vacation at the Sweet Dream House. The home was very clean and tidy, well stocked with soap, towels and kitchen utensils. A short walk down the road to a trail that leads over the dunes and onto the beach. The only thing that could have made the trip better would be a comfy sofa and chairs for 6 adults to lounge in. Thank you!

Great view but…

Great location with nice view and 5-min drive to town. However, house is lacking some of the basics like bedroom downstairs has a broken queen bed and stained pillow. Living room is furnished mainly with uncomfortable outdoor furniture and dining room chairs are uncomfortable stained folding chairs. Kitchen is nice with needed utensils but the pots and pans are old. We won’t book this house again.

Easy beach access

This house was right at the beach access. Great location. Clean house. Living area had limited seating so for larger groups - this could be a challenge. The only problem we had was Vacasa gave us the wrong code to enter the house. This was a little stressful getting there late after sitting in a car for hours, but I texted them and called and the issue was resolved quickly. Would definitely recommend this house to family and friends! We had a very relaxing time with our dogs and nice weather!

Nice place.

Nice partial view of ocean from living room. Easy walk to the beach and to Nehalem Bay State Park. Quiet area. Home is very well equipped. A bit cozy for more than 6 but fine for vacation. Service from Vacasa was great.

Weekend stay

The location was great and we loved staying in the beach house. It would have been great if the kitchen had all the expected items. For example, there was a blender base, but no container. A baking sheet and 9x13 inch pan would also have been much appreciated. The colors chosen for the pain upstairs were lovely, but the paint job could be much improved by another coat.

Family Weekend

This home has a beautiful view and lots of natural light - it's a very tranquil and relaxing place. The beach is so close with an access path literally across the street. There are many choices of fun CDs to play and this owner obviously loves music! The only thing is that the kitchen was not fully equipped for meal prep. There was not one cookie sheet or sheet pan, not one 13 x 9 inch pan or dish, and the fry pans had seen many better days. Those 3 items are necessary for so many cooking tasks. Our house was an hour late in being ready for us, so there was a bit of a wait. If the kitchen things were fixed, I would up the rating for sure.

Great location. Very close to beach access and .5 mile walk to golf course. The chimney was making a lot of noise/clanking in the wind. Otherwise, it was good.

Great view!

Loved our getaway at Sweet Dream home in Manzanita. Perfect quiet location steps from the beach and only about a mile walk to downtown. Manzanita is our favorite city on the Oregon coast and this was definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed. We cooked dinners during our stay and found the kitchen to be well equipped - only callout is a suggestion for a newer can opener . We had our small dog with us and she really loved the house and, of course, the beach. We were a bit sad to learn when we arrived that the pellet stove wasn’t working, awaiting repairs, but we were cozy enough using the wall heaters. All in all, a wonderful trip. Didn’t hurt that we had awesome weather our entire stay. Hope to have a chance to stay at this house again sometime soon.

Relax and Have Fun

Our family enjoyed this stay in Manzanita quite a bit because the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and spices the tv and and the DVD's provided some end of the day entertainment; it was clean; and there was plenty if room for a family with teenagers. It was a fantastic little family friendly house. Thank you! We will visit again.

Great location but had a few problems

This is a great beach house located in a lovely area of Manzanita. We had a few problems: 1. Human hair on the furniture…super gross and rather ironic since the house is dog friendly. I would have expected maybe let hair a bit but there was human hair, long in all shades of color on the sofa, pillows, chairs. Clearly the management company needs to do more thorough cleaning. 2. Bathrooms need updating, and the towels (which are white) are very tired, stained, and YES, several of them had human hair in them…gross long strands that clearly didn’t come out in the wash. 3. A downstairs fire alarm went off bc of low batteries…and yes, it went off at 1am while we were sleeping. I asked the management. Company on Sunday morning to come replace the batteries and I didn’t hear back from them until Monday afternoon when they asked me how my stay was. Clearly they use chat bots to interact with their guests and the owners of the homes they’re managing need to know that the chat bots are not doing their job. If the management company kept up with the house cleaning needs and were more responsive to guests I would highly recommend this vacation home. However, as it stands, and how we experienced the situation I would recommend finding another home.

Va-Cay Stay

No surprises with the house. Everything was as it was advertisement. The location was real good. Only issues were ants in the downstairs bathroom and in the kitchen. Additionally, quite a few dust “bunnies” in the master bedroom and cobwebs on the triangle scenic windows above the sliding glass door. Amazing!

We absolutely loved staying here. The house was spacious, well equipped with comfy beds! We had everything we needed for our 5 day stay including a full kitchen and washer and dryer, plus it was easy to walk to the beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again!
