A fantastic holiday home for large families.

Maria is the most wonderful host and she makes you feel so welcome in her beautiful holiday home. She responds to any questions you have quickly and is so helpful with local info and taxis etc. The house is brilliant for large family groups - we were 15 people - 3 x families. It is very spacious with a super well equipped kitchen(s),2 fridges and large tables for family dinners. It is a short car journey to the village where you can get everything you need including food market on Thursday morning and the best gelato shop. We had such a great week and were very sad to leave - it was so relaxing by the pool, surrounded by the trees on gorgeous hot sunny days and evenings. Comfy beds and fans to help cool the air at night for sleeping. We all hope to return one day. Thank you Maria, it was better than we could have hoped for!

Amazing - would definitely recommend!

Myself and 14 friends stayed at Maria’s lovely property, communication was fantastic before and during the stay, we even got to pick the fruit and vegetables from the orchard. Maria also very kindly showed us how to make pizza dough and we got to use the pizza oven which was epic! The 30 minute walk to Manziana is doable (we did the walk and then 1hr train to Vatican City) but scary in the dark, so I definitely recommend 1 car for food shops. We also made the 1.5hr walk to Lake Braccino one day, it was lovely but lots and lots of bugs, and at times there were quite a few mozzys around the pool and bbq area - so buy mozzy spray. Overall we had an amazing time, and we recommend this to everyone who wants a fun holiday with a lovely view, lots of outdoor areas and local activities.

Lovely stay near lake Bracciano.

With 8 friends we stayed for 3 nights in Maria's house. We loved it. The house is luxurious with a nice swimmingpool, bbq, etcetera. It's a 50 minutes drive from the centre of Rome. Contact with Maria was perfect. Due to corona we had to postpone the visit for 2 years (!). That was no problem. We had a memorabele stay!

Beautiful holiday close to Rome

We had a very nice stay at il ciliego! The communication with Maria was very good and friendly. We could also always contact her if we needed anything. The house with its property including a swimming pool is very big and comfortable and perfect for groups and families! There is even an original stone pizza oven which we can only recommend for making pizza. We were allowed to eat fruit and vegetables from the garden which was great as well. And you wont get bored for sure with a table tennis and table soccer included :) We enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend it 100%!

Lovely villa for family

We were a large group of 13 with multiple ages of kids and adults. Lots of great space and the pool was lovely. Definitely need a hire car to go anywhere. Very good links into Rome from the village station. Maria was super helpful through the lead up helping me source hire vans and airport transfers and much more reasonable prices and also helped us when we got a puncture. She also gave us a selection of fresh fruit and veg from the garden on arrival. There are lots of things to remember on checking in which are not all written down so I would suggest writing down the instructions to make it easy to remember. A great place for large groups and well kitted out for lots of people. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊

Beautiful villa! fantastic holiday!

We had a fabulous two week holiday at Maria's villa in manziana. Maria was a great help and lovely lady. The villa itself was perfect just what we'd imagined rustic and charming. The pool was great fun for the children and adults alike and the gardens were perfect for the children to play. I would say a car is essential if you are wanting to explore although we did take the train to rome. We found some fabulous restaurants in bracciano down the cobbled back streets but would stay away from the restaurants at the lake as these weren't great and we were later told that they were for tourists. Try cantina de pepe which is about 3km down the road towards Santa severa great food, nice people. The beach at Santa severa was beautiful and we had amazing seafood at Isola del pescatore. All in all a fabulous holiday and we will be returning thank you Maria for a great stay Liza, Ricky, Lewis, charley, Mikey, Johnny, and Jenna xxx

Magical Family Vacation

We can't say enough about how special our stay was. Maria met us at the door after a long flight and slog through the Rome airport. She took us through the house and then led us through a pre-arranged pasta lesson! It was the perfect way to start our first day in Italy. We had one nonna and two families (kids aged 8-17) and our uncle, aunt and cousin joined later with a brief overlap. Many of our 9 person group had been to the area before but our four kids had not, and they loved the house! They especially loved the pool and ping pong table. We found it to be perfect, with plenty of space for everyone. We were worried about being there in June/July without AC but it was comfortable with fans and beautifully fresh air at night. The dishwasher and washing machine were a big help too. The property is enchanting, with the show stopping pool & an olive grove below. Large zucchinis and fragrant basil grew in the garden. The rooms were comfortable and large (beds good too) & the bathrooms were a good size by Italian standards. One thing to note: get a rental car that can handle some of the country roads because the road to Lake Bracciano can be quite bumpy! We were there to see our Italian side of the family and host them comfortably. Maria and her team cooked a great lunch for us and our local family one day. She taught us how to use the pizza oven and made dough for us as well. She made our trip truly magical and we hope to be back someday soon!

Tolles Haus viel Platz, toll eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Uns mangelte es an nichts. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und privat (keine angrenzenden Häuser). Der Pool ist wirklich gross und sauber. Die Abwicklung verlief super. Die Vermieterin ist jederzeit erreichbar und kümmert sich um jedes Anliegen.

Une maison très agréable dans une région à decouvrir

Nous avions choisi cette maison pour nous retrouver en famille (15 personnes habitant dans différentes régions de France). La maison, très confortable s'est avérée u..lieu parfait pour ces retrouvailles: nous avons pu vivre ensble pendant une semaine sans nous gêner. Les conditions climatiques exceptionnelles nous ont permis en novembre de profiter de la piscine, du barbecue et des espaces es extérieurs particulièrement agréables. La maison est situee dans une belle région, très riche en découvertes. C'est aussi un.bon point de depart pour aller visiter Rome en train. Le seul bémol est l'accès un peu long depuis le village de Manziana, par une route qui reflète l'état des routes italiennes!

Great for a family holiday

Spacious and comfortable. I stayed with my wife, our 3 children, their spouses and our 6 grandchildren - 14 in all - and we were well accommodated. The house and pool are great. Lake Bracciano is in easy reach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants locally. No problems. Would definitely go again if the opportunity arises.

Schöner Urlaub

Schönes sehr geräumiges Haus. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett, freundlich. Im Haus war es sauber und aufgeräumt. Es hat uns an nicht gefehlt. Es war alles da! Die idyllische und ruhige Gegend ist perfekt für größere Gruppen und Familien auch mit Kinder geeignet. Die Kommunikation hat wunderbar funktioniert. Ich würde auch gerne wiederkommen.

Great villa

We booked this villa for a week in July 2019. There were 13 of us and we all had a fantastic time there. The house is spacious and the garden and outside areas are so nice and peaceful. Not once did it feel crowded in there! The pool was brilliant and we spent a lot of time in there. In our party was 2 children aged 3 and 7 and both loved the pool. We used the gas barbecue which was great and sat out in the gardens to eat in the sun. It was so nice to have the family together in this beautiful setting. What I would say is to book a rental car like we did as the house is a bit out of the way and some of our party had trouble getting taxis from Manziana centre when the car wasn't available! Manziana is a lovely town with a really authentic feel to it. The train to Rome takes about 50 minutes from there and costs 3.60 euros return with the station in Rome being 15 min from the vatican. The station was about a 5 min drive from the villa so with a car it's easy and convinient to get there. Maria was a great host who welcomed us and talked us through everything upon arrival and left us with some food and drinks to help. I would definitely recommend this house!

Wonderful location for Italian holidays

We were a group of three families, 13 people in total, and loved this house which set a wonderful scene for our summer holidays! The house is spacious clean and well equipped, the pool and garden were enjoyed by both kids and adults. The pizza oven in the garden is a gem! The location is ideal for lovely day trips to nice villages close by, beaches at the lake and at the seaside, as well as to Rome. Maria was a very helpful and thorough hostess, and easy to communicate with! Thank you so much for the lovely week in your beautiful house Maria :)
