Deux chambre payées. Réservation perdu, heureusement deux chambres de libres pour nous. Attente 1 heure. Chambre assez sales. Dommage endroit agréable. Personnel très gentil.

Great that it was close to the beach

Arrived and the room was not presentable. The light switches were filthy. the bed frame was falling apart. Management quickly cleaned another room for me.

We zijn hier lekker tot rust gekomen een aantal dagen voor- en na onze tour. Vriendelijk personeel, fijn zwembad, mooie locatie en schoon. Er zit ook een ayurvedic center...met consult en een goede masseur!

UNFORGETABLE HOLIDAYS

Отличный отель для спокойного отдыха. Мы отдыхали в Amagi Beach целый месяц. Пляж чистый, на территории отеля. Есть бассейн. Больше всего нас удивил персонал. Были во многих странах, но такого душевного обслуживания еще не встречали. Столько доброты, позитива, улыбок. По любому вопросу у них ответ: "No problem". Комнаты предельно просты-большая кровать, туалет+душ, шкаф, телевизор. Большего и не надо. Попросили холодильник, сказали "no problem" и принесли. Если кому нужна активная ночная жизнь, то это место не для вас. В ресторане готовят изумительно, в том числе для детей, которые, как известно, не любят острое. Для нашей девочки готовили без приправ. Опять таки "no problem". Если доведется снова быть на Шри-Ланке, обязательно приедем сюда. Месяц спокойствия и релакса. Перед отъездом нам накрыли прощальный ужин и провожали всем персоналом. Нас это тронуло до слез. Уезжать совсем не хотелось! Спасибо AMAGI BEACH за незабываемый отдых!

Needs improvement

The hotel claims 3 stars but it’s not even close to 1 star hotel. Luckily checked in around 8pm and was extremely happy to check out first thing in the morning. Rooms – in a very poor condition and bathrooms are even worse (asked to change the room upon the check in since there was no TV in the first one). Towels where stained and there were ants in the bed. Lock on the bathroom door wasn’t working. Pool – looks nice on the web-site but water was murky and seemed that no one even cared about quality of water. Beach – one can’t really call it a beach. It’s tiny and not suitable for swimming. Travelled with the own car and drove 20 minutes towards Chilaw in order to find a suitable beach for swimming. Dining – No comments.

Pretty little hotel with some flaws

I stayed for two nights at this very pretty hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, but a few little things let down the overall experience a bit - the room wasn't as clean as it could have been, and although I wasn't really interested in watching TV, when I did flick on the tiny TV the one time I realised that the remote didn't work, and there was only really one channel that wasn't distorted. The internet works - at the lobby, and not in rooms. The food was good and the portions immense!
