Hard Rock Hotel Marbella – Puerto Banús

"THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever experienced. Arrived at the hotel to be told I could check in without a passport, that a drivers licence wasn’t valid ID anymore- the manager even told me patronisingly to “check on ChatGPT!” Whilst the managers discussed our fate they told us to go get a drink at the bar “on them”. Then when we did that and handed over the voucher we’d been given the waitress told us that didn’t cover the drinks we had chosen- not that we have been prescribed which drinks to select, she was extremely rude and when the manager came over to tell her to explain the situation a full out argument in Spanish ensued. Quite unbelievable. The bottle blond middle aged bar lady (didn’t get her name) was so rude. I was told there was no way we could be checked in so I had to travel back to get the passports, nowhere on any of my booking information did it state that a passport was a requirement, zero effort was made to appease me or show and sympathy to the fact I had driven a long way with a young family. It was my first stay at the hotel and will be probably be my last unfortunately. I complained to the Company and they forwarded me to the Hotel Management team who I haven’t heard anything from - that was over a month ago. VERY DISAPPOINTING"

"This was such a lovely boutique hotel that has amazing and friendly staff. The room was clean, bed was comfy, had everything in it that we required. This was right in the town so perfect location as everything was walkable. Staff were super helpful in helping us determine where to walk to and also we thought a quick trip to Puerto Banus (not my favourite area as the Old Town was really beautiful) so we were told where to get a local bus from and which ones to get. The staff at breakfast were so lovely and accommodating, could not fault this hotel at all. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Marbella if you want to wander around the old town."

"Staying in a suite very large and beautiful, we were annulé to sleep before 3 Am. The music was so loud: even with all the windows closed and with ear plugs. At 2 o’clock , I complained about the noise and they said :tomorrow come to see us. The best place to finish the night was on the bathroom floor. The day after they proposed a new suite. It was quiet but smaller and old style (1970), a suite who need to be restored! Not a lot of sympathy from the staff regarding our bad experience. Other bad issue: Going to the pool at 7:10 PM, we were told that we can’t swim: they close at 7 Pm. Nobu for the first and the last time."

"Breakfast is excellent. Plenty to choose from and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Option to sit outside Plenty of very helpful staff Well maintained pool are with comfortable loungers and a part of the beach is sectioned off for hotel guests. Bedrooms are spacious and well equipped and bathroom is great. We were lucky to have a bath tub and a separate shower. Also lovely Molton brown toiletries. Great linen and super comfortable beds "
