The Hotel has a great breakfast buffet with a lot of different fruit, cereal, bread and topping. The beds are super comfortable, the towels super soft. I enjoyed the hot shower anD a good night sleep after a day of exploring the historic city of Marburg.

We were pleased with our stay at the Welcome Hotel. Parking is around the back of the building and underground. It was very convenient to go to the old city by walking across the street and taking the elevator up to the historic area where there were many shops and outdoor cafes. Breakfast was excellent, but after 9 days it became repetitive. We would stay here again!

Great central location. Opposite the lifts to the old town for those that don't like uphills/cobbles. Next to the Lahn and close to the old Botanical gardens. The staff were great, as was the breakfast. Would recommend and will be back, as our daughter & granddaughter live there. Marburg is beautifu ❤️

Nice hotel in perfect location, friendly staff

We had a very positive experience at the Welcome Hotel. It is in a perfect location, just take an elevator across the street to get to the beautiful Old Town area. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Kristen Thiele, were all friendly and helpful. Kristen went out of her way to help us with the train scheduling. The included breakfast was wonderful. Our only complaint was that the shower was very small. Overall, a great hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast buffet was great - anything you may want! But the hotel building was a bit outdated and the hallway smelled. The view to the inner courtyard was also a bit shabby and one could basically walk from one room to another which made it difficult to air out - but the room was so stuffy; esp. the bathroom was super hot. But everything was clean.

Don’t waste your money!!!

What a disappointment this hotel was!!! I agree with many other travellers that this is not a 4 star, at most 2.5. I actually asked them in the reception, are you not a 4 star as we were informed on Hotel.com? Answer: We don’t have any stars… So for me as a customer, I feel this booking site is using false advertising to get me to pay for something that does not excist? They mention ’Gastronomi’ on their website, but we were told the restaurant was not open as they could not get staff ??!! but it was packed with a corporate function? Asked for a glass of ice to bring to our room as there were no bar either - and she looked at me as I was coming from Mars…The shower was the smallest I ever seen, but the room size ok. The only good point about this hotel was the location. By this, I don’t mean the outside that was very trashy, but close to an elevator across the street that took you to old town. It was also close to Botanical Garden which is good if you are travelling with dogs as we are. But sooo expensive for what it was so don’t waste your money!

Clean, modern rooms and public areas. The location is the very best! The most impressive thing was the lovely dining room and the extraordinary breakfast with polite servers- everything you would want. Bed was luxurious as well. Yet, I could not firure out the layout of the hotel, getting confused in some of the hallways.
