Hinterhal is in the middle of the medium-sized ski area, Hochkönig. From 1000 metres above sea level, you step straight into the lift from the village. It has a good central location, so all the restaurants in Hinterthal are within walking distance. The town has a playground for children with an artificial turf football pitch. Because of its location in the mountains, you are within a few minutes of beautiful nature with many hiking and climbing trails.
For many, Hinterthal is an undiscovered pearl in the Alps for a reason.
The Hochkönig ski area is part of the immense ski region Ski Amadé, with 120 kilometres of slopes! Ski like a king over the white and beautifully groomed slopes here. Numerous mountain huts serve delicious regional and international cuisine.
In summer, this area is a true hiking paradise. Some 340 kilometres of hiking trails lie at your feet. Take a refreshing dip in one of the crystal-clear mountain lakes and enjoy the Austrian sunshin.e
