The Riad is beautiful and the people running it are lovely. Delicious home made breakfast in the beautiful terrace. Super quiet pool in the terrace as well. We hit an enormous apartment with 2 bathrooms and full of historical details. The Medina alleyways could be intimidating at the beginning, but you get totally used to it as you go along. Ask Maria to cook you dinner you can enjoy in the terrace. Great experience

I first stayed at the property in 2017. My experience there was wonderful and so I returned 7 years later. Isham was still there and took great care of me and my friend. He walked with us when we needed to find our destination without getting lost. It’s a beautiful riad with authentic furnishings and feels like a genuine step back in time with modern service.

The staff became like family. The property is a lovely combination of traditional and contemporary Moroccan design. The rooms were comfortable, and the food delicious. Definitely will be making this our place to go when in Marrakech.

Highly professional

There is no doubt that Dar Darma is an excellent accommodation choice in the Medina. The staff are fabulous. As we had chosen this Riad for its pool we were very disappointed that it was being renovated. Although we were offered free cancellation, unfortunately it was too late to organise similar accommodation, and so were somewhat surprised that no reduction to reflect the non availability of this facility was offered. Having said that, it is highly recommended.

We stayed in the Red Apartment. This riad is one of the most unique and authentic places in Morocco. Tasteful decor. Makes one feel at home really. Impeccable service and staff. The riad is like a maze which makes it so very interesting. Also easy walk to the souk. There are stairs to climb so be aware.

Das Riad ist sehr schön und authentisch,das Personal ist freundlich und kompetent. Ich erwarte aber für so einen Standard etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit,z.B. Früchte im Zimmer und vom Personal Tips ohne zu fragen. ............aber die Lage ist mitten in der Médina und schwer zugänglich.

听介绍说是个有四百年历史的房子，看照片介绍感觉很漂亮，所有区域空间没有合理运用，只是陈列摆设，整个房子室内很昏暗，住宿的房间全是深红色，没什么灯光，晚上很难入睡。使我失眠，而且价格很高，性价比很低。很失望。

Beautiful Riad

The property was beautiful and the people very friendly. We had difficulties getting back to the Riad at tines. I wish it was better marked or better explanation of location.

Luxury Boutique Riad

Dar Darma is a relaxing and magical oasis in the midst of the crazy sights and activity of the city. The interiors are opulent and beautiful, and each boutique room is decorated individually. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and gracious and treated us like family. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning on the private terrace with gardens. I would stay here again and highly recommend it. WiFi is available in the common area.

La maison de Dracula

Sombre, vétuste, sinistre, ni plantes ni fleurs ni luminosité. Impossible d'y accéder en taxi, il faut marcher avec les bagages dans la médina. Pour sortir le soir et rentrer tard, les ruelles ne sont pas éclairées. A fuir pour aller dans un vrai 5 étoiles.

Tolles, sehr stylisches Riad in perfekter Lage

Wir haben 4 tolle Nächte/Tage im Dar Darma verbracht. Das Riad ist sehr gut gelegen, alles zu Fuß innnerhalb der Médina zu erreichen. Das Dar Darma ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Eher dunkel gehalten, sehr atmosphärisch und man hat sehr viel Platz im Zimmer. Wir hatten das Vergnügen im braunen Zimmer zu wohnen. Aber das wichtigste im Riad war das Team um Maria und Hicham. Sie sind so hilfsbereit, offen und herzlich, man fühlt sich rundum gut betreut! wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!!!

Dar Darma experience

Un lugar exótico dónde quedarse pero situado en una zona muy peligrosa de la Medina. No tiene acceso con auto y tienes que caminar unos cinco minutos desde donde te deje el auto con tus maletas, en medio de un barrio peligroso, sucio y de calles muy estrechas y rotas. El hotel es manejado prácticamente por un solo hombre que hace de administrador, de botones para llevarte las maletas, de conserje, e incluso sirve el desayuno! Lo único que comimos ahí fue el desayuno y fue de baja calidad. Debo mencionar que la decoración es bonita y exótica pero un poco desgastada y necesita limpieza. Todos los ambientes, salvo la terraza, son oscuros sientes que estás en una penumbra constante. Las escaleras y los pasillos son estrechos y no tienen ventanas. Puede generar un poco de sensación de encierro.

Great staff!

Dar Darma had the most attentive and accommodating staff that we have seen. The location is central which is good for getting around in the city but traveling with three daughters it was sometimes difficult to navigate the streets without having to deal with the local young men. The Riad itself was great. I have to commend the staff for helping us arrange guides, drivers, and airport pickups. The staff is what made our stay wonderful. Breakfast and dinner was made available on our schedule and served in the room or on the beautiful terrace. Kids were able to cool off in the terrace pool in complete privacy.

The staff make this Riad. It's beautiful too!

Wonderful kind and attentive staff who made us feel like family. Beautiful suite (Mirrors) which was huge, tasteful and well appointed. Wonderful roof top terrace for relaxing and delicious abundant breakfast each day. We were pampered and well looked after and I haven't slept so well or so much in years! Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Posto bellissimo e di gran classe.

Riad bellissimo. Ristrutturato perfettamente. Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. È un riad molto antico quindi ci sono molte barriere architettoniche ma se si cerca una cornice da sogno questo posto è perfetto. Le camere sono molto curate e pulite. Nonostante ci siano tante diverse stazioni Wi-Fi il segnale non è il massimo ma la struttura non permette nulla di meglio a mio parere. Mettere una cassaforte in camera e magari un piccolo frigobar, ma questo solo per voler essere troppo esigenti! È tutto meraviglioso e di estremo gusto.

The blue room is nice, but unless you have a family you aren't staying in that room. I splurged on this hotel because I thought the pictures looked beautiful but really, it's dark and unkept and in a deep alley in the medina. We had a bad experience with the kids that hang out in front of it waiting for you to get lost. The thing about staying in the Medina --if you're a tourist, you need to know how to get to your riad so you need to stay in a non-shady area that's easy to get to. I loved Riad Taala 12. When I come back to Marrakech I'm going to stay there again or try a riad that's closer to Jemaa El Fnaa

Funky Medina

Arrange transportation to and from this riad with the hotel or else no matter how well equipped you are with maps and gps you are sure to get lost. After staying 4 nights at the 4 Seasons this riad was just the dose of "in the medina experience" we craved. The vibe Is definitely hipster meets Moroccan, with low level lighting to hide any imperfections and to keep the mood zen. Dinner on the roof is what they bring you - go with the flow as it is delicious and reasonable (around $25 per person for 3 courses). We arranged on arrival to have a bottle of wine purchased and put on ice. Cost: $30. Book the more expensive suites to get the full vibe. Recommend this riad for design conscious travelers but not for those who are uptight and can't handle stairs.
