This half-timbered house, built in 1817, is located in the heart of Marstal, the old seafaring town on Ærø. We've carefully renovated the house with respect for the original half-timbering and filled it with a personal interior design featuring art, antique finds and intriguing details. You'll step into a house with genuine character and a relaxed maritime style.
On the ground floor, you'll find a dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and a practical utility room. On the first floor are two additional bedrooms and a spacious landing. From here, there's a small glimpse of the sea—a lovely reminder of the town's close connection to seafaring.
The brick-paved courtyard's furnished with planters, flowers, a table, chairs and two sun loungers. Under the covered terrace, you'll find the outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and pizza oven, as well as a large wooden table that seats 6–8 people. The courtyard also features an annex with two additional sleeping spots.
The harbour's 200 metres from the house, and from there you can walk to Eriks Hale, two kilometres away. The pedestrian street with shops and cafés is 50 metres from the house. Nearby attractions include the Marstal Maritime Museum, Ballast by the harbour, Fru Berg, and Prinsebroen. Rise Bryghus, Skjoldnæs Lighthouse, and Voderup Klint are also nearby. Free buses run to Ærøskøbing.
