We were looking for a fun and remote place to stay that was not too far from Harpers Ferry since we were there to do some biking. The train station lodge worked will for us.

Perfect for what we came for!

Stayed at the Train Station Lodge for 3 nights and went golfing with a group of guys. All the beds were pretty comfy. All the amenities worked and were great!

Train Station lodge

The place was awesome- clean, very well stocked with the necessities and the layout was very nice. We always try to look for the more unique/interesting type of lodging and this place fit the bill. Very quiet, private location. The owner was very responsive to any question we had.

Great Property

Convenient location to Harper’s Ferry downtown, National Historical Park and Shepardstown. Clean, well appointed property. Excellent communication with hosts. Property is as advertised and perfect for a weekend getaway to WV.

Wonderful place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Everything was comfortable and neat. We especially enjoyed the country setting out of the city. The host was easy to communicate with and friendly. We also enjoyed having a washer and dryer right there available. We would certainly recommend your place and would stay there if we were in the area again. Thank you!

The property was as pictured and clean. The host was quick to respond to our questions and was very helpful. Our only complaint was that the ad and exterior photos made it seem like there would be privacy and this was not our experience. The lodge is actually an above the garage apartment next to a large home. The third bay is the kitchen, which is on the ground floor and the bedrooms and bathrooms are above the garage. When we arrived, there was a group at the firepit right in front of the garage apartment. Only a gravel drive separated the two areas. The group grew as the day progressed and I think we counted a total of 12 cars at the property. We were close enough to hear most of the conversations and had to close the blinds on all the windows to feel any sense of separation. Our top consideration when looking for a place to stay was a quiet and private property where we wouldn't be on top of neighbors, which was not the case here.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay!

From the moment we walked into this incredible home, we were completely captivated by its uniqueness. The toy train set that loops around the ceiling above the dining room was a delightful surprise—our family was in awe of it, and the kids couldn’t get enough of watching it go around! The custom bunk beds were another huge hit with the little ones, adding an extra touch of charm and fun. As for my wife and I, we truly appreciated the privacy and comfort of the master bedroom on the second floor—it was the perfect retreat after a day of family adventures. With a family of seven, we were pleased to find there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out and sleep comfortably. We also took a lovely morning hike along the trails on the property, which was a memorable experience for us all. The kids were thrilled to spot wildlife up close, adding a magical touch to the stay. The host was outstanding—communication was seamless and they were incredibly responsive to our needs, making our stay stress-free. This home offered everything we could have hoped for and more. We had an unforgettable time and would not hesitate to return for another amazing stay! Highly recommend!

My friends and I had a great time at the Train Station Lodge! The lodge is a guest house located adjacent to the main house on a large forested property. It was centrally located to the different towns and activities that we wanted to explore, quiet, and a good size for our group. We would totally consider staying here again if we come back to the area!

My children loved the “Train Station”

This was the perfect place for us to stay. The kids in our group loved the built in bunk beds and board games. All beds were comfortable, nice bathrooms, and well cleaned.

Beautiful!

Our family really enjoyed staying in this cozy guesthouse. The children loved the train in the kitchen ceiling, the loft/bunk and the large selection of games. The area is quiet, beautiful and close to Harper's Ferry. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Wonderful

Booked for my daughter and her bridal party the night before her wedding. The hosts were wonderful to work with and responded to all of my questions and messages promptly. They even decorated the rental for my daughter and left cookies as a congratulations! I would definitely recommend staying here.

fun stay in a beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Train Station. The location was out of the traffic of the tourist areas, but they were easily accesible. It was very peaceful in the woods and the house itself was well stocked and the beds were comfortable! If you are looking for a place that has a great place to hang out together as a family (like a comfortable living room with a big sectional sofa) this is not the place you are looking for. If you are like us and spend most of your waking hours out doing different activities and need a clean comfortable place to eat meals, bathe and sleep, the Train Station would be hard to beat.

Home away from home❤️

This lovely home tucked in the woods was perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable. The master suite was spacious, the master bathroom was beautiful! Our children liked the bunk beds so much they dreamed of how we could remodel our house as such. They had everything in the kitchen you need. I liked that there was a full washer and dryer as well.

Great weekend getaway

Owner was very responsive. Answered questions and assisted in booking. Great area for rafting/tubing and some eats. Kids liked hiking and nature as well. Very homey stay to unplug for the weekend and the kids enjoyed it as well with all the multiple unique beds and trains.

Tubing Bachelorette Weekend

We absolutely loved staying here! My friends and I spent the day tubing in Harpers Ferry. The train station was the perfect place for us. Very clean, beautifully decorated, accommodating to our group, plenty of space for everyone, easy directions for check in/out, quick contact with the property owner, personable touches with complimentary wine and a guest book. We would definitely recommend this place to others and hope to return again. Thank you for everything!
