"We had a very bad snowstorm in western Washington last Friday. Our event in Shelton was cancelled due to the dangerous road conditions. Super 8 refused to give me a refund or apply my reservation to a future stay. $140 wasted. Very frustrating, I had NO CONTROL over the weather!"

"Such a great stay at the Huckleberry Cabin! So cozy, clean, and comfortable. Great amenities - really appreciated the cooktop, pots and pans, fridge with freezer, and 4-cup coffee maker complete with regular and decaf coffee. Made it easy to make easy meals - the frozen skillet meals were so easy with this set up. The Queen bed was comfortable and bedroom was nice and private with a door separating the living area. The hot tub was an added bonus and just a quick walk from the cabin (the hot tub is behind the owner’s garage, but completely private and they don’t use it while guests are staying). We had fresh snow, but we were still able to enjoy some of the trails (the gnome trail was our favorite). The resident kitty, Timber, was such a sweetheart and greeted us upon arrival. I had to work remotely one day and the internet worked well. Not much around for food, so highly recommend grocery shopping on your way in. The Spencer Lake Bar and Grill was good and had nice views of the lake. Thank you, Ruth and Scott! "

"It's a great place. Very cozy,peaceful,welcoming and romantic. The bed was super comfortable with soft blankets. It has everything you need for cooking.. the host was also great about communicating. We'd love to come back and recommend it to couples looking for a peaceful,quiet getaway.. "

"Needed an overnight near Shelton and this fit the bill perfectly. Stunning views, clean, little kitchenette and remodeled. Some street noise but did not notice it over night. I would stay here again. "

"The view was fantastic. Tricky to get to the property with the location. You really have to slow down and look for the house number to pull into it. "
