“My wife and I got away for a long weekend after being kid-free. We brought kayaks and wanted to explore the area. We enjoyed the location very much, with easy access to Hoodsport and Hama Hama. The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. The neighbors seem very protective of the beach though, so that's weird. Luckily the smoke from the Bear Gulch fire didn't come down low enough to bother us either,……

“We had a wonderful time at this property! Our annual mushroom hunting trip to the area. You can tell the host took time to decorate the place, lots of big and small details that remind you of home. Beds were pretty comfortable. Decent size kitchen, lots of entertainment inside if the weather happens to be not great… but we spent most of our time outside. Looks like recently renovated house. Walking to the lake was super easy (although we hike a lot, so cannot speak for everyone), but it’s really……

“A pleasant surprise to find the accommodation was actually as nice as the photos (which is sadly rare in a lot of holiday homes). Very clean, nice, and comfortable, And roomier than expected. Pip and Tanya, at the pub restaurant next door, were welcoming and helpful when we arrived and friendly throughout our stay. Plus the pizzas were huge and tasty. There was a great little band playing to about 6pm on the Sunday evening we arrived, and it was quiet and peaceful for the rest of our stay. It's……

We enjoyed walking a short path to the garden area-you can walk the loop or avoid hills by walking the level part--and loved how peaceful it was. The outdoor kitchen has spices, coffee and coffee presses, and even sometimes fresh eggs from their chickens.
