Charming Farmhouse - quiet, private & peaceful

“The property was beautiful, on gorgeous farmland, and a wonderful farmhouse. The bedrooms were nice, well furnished, and comfortable. The downstairs was comfy, stocked with movies and games, and the grill outside was perfect and easy to use. However, the house was not very clean once we checked in. There were moldy dishes in the dishwasher, lots of dust and cobwebs everywhere, and a massive wasp nest on the side of the house. “The property was wonderful. I rented the house for a reunion with my Smith friends and it was just perfect. The house was very comfortable and bright. The beds were super cozy and the place is beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed visiting with the barn cats on the porch! Our only issue was with the fireplace not drafting properly and smoke billowing into the living room, leading us to extinguishing the fire. Would rent this place again!”

“We had a great time at the Taggart River House! Views and light were unbelievable and it was so nice to be there with extended family and have everyone have their own lovely spaces with bathrooms. A quick walk into town made the days even richer. Would 100% stay again! Also well stocked for kids with a high chair, crib, etc. only missing one stair gate which would have made it perfect, but we put furniture in front of those stairs and that was a great solution too. ”

“This may be the nicest home my family has stayed in during a ski vacation! The home was warm and cozy and had every little item one could ever need. The place was ultra clean when we checked in, and even smelled inviting. The place was also beautifully decorated and felt like a real home, rather than a rental unit. The bedding was excellent, and all the appliances worked great. Finally, the host was attentive, communicative, and handled our small requests quickly. We will definitely be back!”

"I haven't used anything since checking in. The bathtub is clogged and infested with mosquitoes. The windowsills and tables in the room are dusty, as if no one has stayed and hasn't cleaned them in ages. The refrigerator also doesn't work. After reporting the situation, we were told we would get a full refund. However, a month has passed and I haven't received one. I contacted the hotel, and they said they'd already processed the refund and told me to check with my bank. I went to the bank and asked the manager to check, but they also said there was no refund. I think this hotel is deceptive. If I had a five-star review, I wouldn't give it a single star. It's terrible. If there was a complaint number, I would definitely file a complaint with this hotel, not just the Hilton. It's worse than an average hotel. It's ridiculous."
