"Hotel is starting to show its age but overall good experience. One night folks got really loud in the atrium until 11 pm and affected our sleep in our third-floor room. Recommend asking for a room on the sixth or higher floors to avoid the noise. Location is good for accessing downtown and the adjacent university."

"We arrived late and the code they provided was erroneous. We finally got into our room and there were few amenities. A tiny bath gel that wouldn’t have gotten both my husband and I through the two days there and no lotion! More importantly, no staff onsite after 5 pm and apparently there is an on call person who gave us the right code but we didn’t know that the person was on call for all issues. My shower in the evening was lukewarm and I didn’t report it because I didn’t think anyone would fix it at 12:30 am. We decided to check out after the night because we were disgusted after arriving from a 7 hour drive to the hotel. Expedia helped us with the early check out and refund but if we would have asked the on call person about the hot water it would have cost a $25 convenience fee! I stay I hotels for convenience but none of this was convenient and the elevator didn’t work so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. We stayed our second night in another hotel and it was divine!"

"Indoor pool was clean and nice. Pillows are terrible! Small rooms that need maintenance! Location is ideal for Wonders of Wildlife Museum/Aquarium. "

"Check in was the assistant manager who took 4 phone calls while checking us in, not putting them on hold but full phone calls. Pool had algae and was cold, only hand towels at the pool not full towels, black mold and sitting water puddle on pool deck. Room shower has pink slimy mold as well as black mold. Room had two door locks had been broken into causing sharp metal one of which poked a hole in my husbands shirt. Coffee maker didn’t work. Shower would be extremely hot and switch to extremely cold without you moving the lever, burnt my kids in the shower. If the shower was on and you tried to turn on the separate tub the warm water in the shower would turn freezing cold giving warm water to the tub. Room had not been fully cleaned before we checked in (room clock upside down next to the bed with an old water bottle cap next to it). Shower had no shampoo or conditioner, instead was body lotion and hand wash. Staff was not efficient nor had manners. Trying to buy an icecream bar at 11:00pm the line was out the front door with one lady trying to check someone in, man behind her needed towels and after 20 min a housekeeping man came out and rolled his eyes but got him towels, after two men came in from the parking lot another employee came from the back office area to check them in immediately (know their names) and flirting with them ignoring there was a huge line - she said “oh I was just here to help them” and went back to the back despite the line. The list goes on! "

"While first impression driving in was negative, once we got inside and got a good look, it is a beautiful place. We left early and my overall rating is a little low because the beds in our room were incredibly uncomfortable. That plus the random backup alarms from big rigs backing up into the Walmart kept us up all night. Other wings of the property will not have this issue. "
