This is a really, really nice hotel. The room was lovely. Very nicely laid out, very clean and with everything you need. Very nice bathroom with toiletries and with a good shower and large bath. Breakfast was very good with several choices and we enjoyed a full English and Eggs Benedict. The staff were lovely and were extremely helpful with everything including offering to take our bags up to the room etc. Parking was on site and very good. We arrived quite early, well before check in, and they let us park so that we could go for a walk which we really appreciated. We can highly recommend this hotel and would have stayed longer if we were able.

Good location for walking into Matlock Bath, 20 minute easy flat walk. Hotel has an on site Indian restaurant and bar but we weren’t aware so didn’t eat there as we had booked somewhere in town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking was good on hotel premises. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. It’s not luxury but a good hotel in a good location with parking which is difficult to find in the area.

Brilliant location! Hotel could do with some TLC but don’t let this put you off! Mould in bathroom, but that was ok as only there for 1 night. Chocolates and slippers were a lovely touch. Nice quiet room - no complaints !

The hotel it's self was lovely traditional windows and front arched doors. Free parking. It was lovely and clean. Nice small cosy room with new bathroom - excellent lovely and clean! The hotel was only about 1/4 hours walk into Matlock bath. There were plenty of pubs and restaurants. Buses were frequent if you needed one. We spent the afternoon in Matlock bath then walked back to hotel which had got a bar and curry restuarant. Excellent meal! Didn't have to go out again. Staff were lovely smiley people. Next day we went to the heights of abaraham which was nt far in the car.

I was greeted by a lovely, friendly and helpful person who began my stay brilliantly. High Tor hotel is kept as clean as it can be and everything worked in my room. The shower was powerful and hot - a welcome relief at the end of a day spent walking and exploring, and the bed linen was spotless.
