Absolutely wonderful hotel

This hotel is wonderful and so very relaxing. The staff are so kind and so thoughtful. The food is amazing. I would give 6 stars if I could.

This is one of my favorite hotels, I think this is the third time I stayed here. It has great views of Matsushima Bay and Fukuurajima Island, excellent food, and clean comfortable rooms. If you can afford a plan that includes dinner it's worth trying.

Perfect location

I am so glad I stayed here. It is a perfect location, with magnificent views of the bay from my room and from the public and private onsen. Breakfast was really good. All staff were very kind and friendly, and special thanks to the man on reception (so sorry I didn’t get your name) who spoke English really well. It is a bit of a walk from the railway stations (its about midway between Matsushima and Matsushimakaigan - about 18 minutes walk from each) but the walk from Matsushimakigan is prettier. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus a couple of times each day.

A Peaceful Retreat

There are so many good things for me to say about this place. I specifically came for the room with a water view, and I loved every bit of it.The views were so calming, and I was able to watch the sunrise from my room.The staff were incredible; some of them spoke English and those that didn't tried so hard to accommodate me. I really appreciated them. There is also a private onsen you can book which is absolutely worth it. A standout moment was when the staff made a breakfast modification for me that I thought couldn't be made-- it was a wonderful surprise and made my stay all the better. So peaceful. So worth it. Also, everything is very walkable from the property.

客室は綺麗にリニューアルされていて、スタッフの対応も良かったです。困ったのはかけ布団カバーが固定する紐などついてなく、寝ていると、すっかりカバーが外れてしまいました。旅館に泊まってこんなのは初めて、どうにかしたほうが良いのでは。食事は何年か前に利用した時のほうがずっと美味しかったですね。
