“We really enjoyed our stay at the Esmeralda Homes Aparthotel. Check‑in was simple and straightforward, and the duplex itself was clean, modern, and well appointed. The only feature we weren’t entirely convinced by was the large bathtub on the upper sun terrace — an interesting choice, though we weren’t sure how practical it was. “Booking of 2 rooms, one ground floor one upper floor. In laws (in their 60’s and 70’s) took the ground floor for ease / mobility. Stay was fine until last day when upon checking out, the hotel tried to charge my in-laws for damage in the room. When we moved in we noticed there was damage but it was cosmetic ie minor holes in doors, cracks in walls etc quite typical of Spanish apartments so foolishly we never raised it with management. Apparently every room is turned around and fully repaired……

“Mattresses were worn right down (compacted down to the springs). Futon used as a sofa was SO uncomfortable. Like sitting on marble. Inadequate kitchen items. Please try giving guests a heads-up as to when housekeeping staff will come in!! Desk staff, bar staff, maintenance staff were fabulous!!”

“No WiFi, we were given a code for the WiFi but could only connect very sporadically. The TV only had one channel, which if you like Big Bang Theory reruns would.ve ok. Or if we had WiFi we could have connected to our own Netflix etc. The shower (whichbwas nice and hot and powerful) flooded the whole bathroom, which has previously caused the bathroom door to swell, making it difficult to open/close. “The apartment was clean and towels changed twice in the week, it seems to be halfway through being renovated and sofa bed old which let it down but it didn’t spoil our stay. It was very peaceful and we would return.”
