Wonderful Sun and Relaxation

Our stay at Estrella del Mar was wonderful. The condo was neat, clean and comfortable. The facility is beautiful with sand beaches and huge pools. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Our only regret was that we didn't plan to stay longer!

Great time at Estrella!

We really enjoyed Sherry’s place! The place was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The condo building is right on the beach and just steps from the pool. If you like a quiet neighbourhood with good golf, this is the place for you!

Peaceful and relaxing

Safe, gated community. Long beach for walking, golf in the resotr, swimmimg pool and hottub. Quiet at night. We had a car, so went into Mazatlan at night. 15km. Stone Island accessible from here easily.

A Quiet Paradise

A warm, welcoming home with absolutely everything one needs! Gorgeous sunset views from the relaxing deck that offers an efficient electric BBQ and comfy patio furniture. The infinity pool area and communal hot tub are just steps away. The sandy beach stretches for miles in both directions. Dolphins and pelicans surf the endless waves. If you love a peaceful spot by the ocean, this is thee place for first class R n R! The pre arranged airport pick up and grocery shop were much appreciated! Thank you Sherry and Fred! Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed staying here more than words can stay. Hopefully we can return again next year! If you are looking for one of those resorts with parties and music all the time, this is NOT it. This rental is in Phase 1, which is one of the 2 smaller sections of condos. Usually there were no more than 10-12 people at the pool at any one time. Everyone here was helpful and friendly! This rental unit had everything we needed for the time we were there. Usually we just cooked and ate on our own deck. However, our favorite 'restaurant' was actually the Barefoot Bar just on the other side of the hotel. The Margaritas there remade with fresh squeezed limes and tasted great!

Food for the soul!

This is our third visit to Estrella del Mar and the second time staying at Sherry’s and Fred’s place. Words are inadequate to describe the gratitude we have for yet another rejuvenating experience that in all respects fuels the soul. The condo is top notch: spotlessly clean, well equipped, gorgeous ocean view, and tranquil pools. Most mornings started with coffee on the patio watching the dolphins and pelicans play along the waves. We loved our daily walks along the endless, quiet beach that stretches for miles in both directions. Our visit to nearby Stone Island discovered a hidden gem offering beach restaurants with authentic, fresh, Mexican cuisine and entertainment right at the water's edge. For variety, we also bought a one day pass to the new Dreams resort next door and had an all inclusive, fun time to remember. Most evenings we BBQ'd and relaxed at the condo taking in the spectacular sunsets but a couple of times we strolled across the golf course to Las Villas: a smaller, local hotel where we had the best surf and turf ever! We rented Sherry's place for almost 2 weeks while attending a family wedding. Estrella del Mar is a very comfortable place to stay and play. Sherry's place was more than a home away from home. A beautiful view from various aspects of the condo. A well maintain place, with a great kitchen fully equip to cook great meals. My husband and I really enjoy our stay.

This was our first time staying in the condo at Estrella Del Mar. It was fabulous, we plan to return and stay again on our next visit. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Peace and Quiet

Beautiful, far from the city and usual rock music resorts. Relax by the pool and enjoy the crash of the surf uninterrupted by all the typical crowds at most resorts. Would be improved by better food selection at the little store.

A perfect holiday

Estrella del Mar is essentially a golf resort although other simple pleasures such as pool, walking on the beach and bird watching are available. There were some social activities while we were there but there is not what one would call any night life. The resort is gated, guarded and patrolled and hence as safe as anything can be in Mexico. We rented a one-bedroom condo for the two of us. The owners did everything possible to make our stay perfect, including allowing me to us his golf clubs. The unit was outfitted well and the resort helped us order fresh groceries and grog for our stay, which was great as we had already spent a week in Mazatlan and were getting tired of eating out, although we did try both of the on-site restaurants and had excellent meals at each one. The golf course is up to professional standards and hence can be challenging but is wide open enough to allow less competent players to enjoy it equally. Additionally the resort is not busy and hence play is not pushy. We were able to enjoy the bird life on the course as much as the golf itself, which is not the norm at the usual golf destination resort. We both would heartily recommend condo rental at Estrella del Mar but would advise that it is a fair ways away from Mazatlan proper. One should not attempt to enjoy the multiple pleasures of Mazatlan from a base at EDM. Every trip to town involves at least a $50 taxi fare. One should plan to play and relax onsite at the resort.
