Arrived to a home that was halfway cleaned. Extremely dirty floors, and sheets / towels strewn across the laundry room. Precious guests had clearly been to the beach during their stay, as you could see/feel the layer of grit under your feet. They offered to send someone back over to clean the home, but traveling with a toddler and his bedtime makes coordination of that unrealistic, so I declined. And that’s beside the point, we cleaned the home ourselves. I asked if they would work with me on the 200 cleaning fee and they ignored me for the rest of the stay. This property is managed by Vacasa, and this seems to be ‘par for the course’ with them based on my previous experiences. The home was nice, and the bird watching was fun, but you can find much better value in McCall, and I’d strongly advise finding a host that shows engagement with their guests rather than one that will ignore you.
