We stayed here just one night, with our two kids. The hotel had great character, and was also really comfortable and roomy. The kids loved the beverage machine for the hot chocolate :). And the staff was very friendly. It was an easy distance to Lava Hot Springs, maybe 10-12 minutes, and much quieter. We loved it and would recommend.

My girlfriend and I stayed in The Slate room. The high ceilings gave the room a particular grandeur. The bathroom was exquisite with both a large tub and shower. Guests have access to the lobby all night that includes a hot cocoa machine.

I will stay here anytime I go to Lava! This place was very clean. We stayed at the Pearl Suite and it had a living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. It was very spacious and had a nice electric fireplace where we played games and had their hot chocolate from downstairs. The staff was very friendly and gave recommendations. There isn’t anything to do in the town so everything we did was in Lava which we were fine with, about a 12mjn drive.

Great stay in the Ruby Suite with our family. Clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. Nice staff. Small recommendation might be white noise machines in rooms to help with outside noise. Thanks!

Don’t miss this place, a hidden gem!
This hotel is a hidden gem! Amazing architecture, clean, welcoming, comfy bed, amazing sheets, big bathtub, quiet and updated. It’s a terrific value for the price, you could stay at a hotel chain for the same amount and never feel this pampered!

What a fabulous surprise in this cute little town! Originally a bank built 1906 and beautifully remodeled into a hotel. They kept all the original woodwork and gave it an updated modern feel. All the rooms are different and special in their own way! Beautiful hotel!!

Hidden gem
This is a hidden gem! The place is lovely and so were the people. The coffee in the morning was awesome, and I enjoyed reading the old newspaper and looking at all the historical photos while I enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable and the style and historical nature of the place are so cool. Just make sure you eat dinner before you arrive, because the nearby options for a meal out are very limited.

This hotel is on oasis in the middle of nowhere, 5 minutes off the highway and 15 from Lava Springs, this place was huge! My only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

Really fun and unique hotel. I love the renovations and the life given to this old building. The room was simple and spacious and yet luxury. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was relaxing, had a great stay.

This home was incredibly beautiful. We had a couple families stay in the home and everyone raved about how nice and comfortable the place was. We were in awe, truly. It was so stylish, the beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was open and easy to work in. We will be back for sure and will stay in the incredible hotel next time. This hotel has to be in the top 5 places I’ve ever stayed.

Hotel is beautiful, unique and nicely remodeled! High ceilings are great and bed was very comfy! What is a huge downside is that the hotel is situated very close to railways and I was woken up almost every half an hour by train horns as they were passing through the Village all night long. It got me woken up so many times that it felt like I never went to bed and I was very tired in the morning. I had 4 hours drive next morning ahead of me so I wish I had been told about this prior me booking the hotel or during check-in. No one ever mentioned anything to me so I felt like it was kept a secret from me on purpose. I asked at the front desk about it when I was checking out and they said it is on their website. I said I didn’t book it through their website so I wasn’t informed about it prior booking the room or by they employee during check-in. I was also told that hotel doesn’t have under control what 3rd parties put in the offering when they offer accommodation in the hotel so she made it sound like expedia is at fault. I checked hotel website and I couldn’t find it anywhere so I just really believe I was misled by the hotel on purpose. If I knew about this issue I would book a different hotel. It’s beautiful but bad business decision at the beginning to expect people to pay premium hotel room next to the railways! Also water in the room was white, not clear so I didn’t have access to drinkable water all night. I was very disappointed the way they handled my complaints.

Elegant boutique hotel with history
This is an excellent boutique hotel! It is so unique and lovely. Absolutely spotless, elegant decor and a slice of history! Exactly like the pictures on the website! We were thrilled!! 12 minutes from Lava Hot Springs!
