Large Home with lots of Amenities

Great property with enough space to spread out and each family have their own spaces. Big fans of the movie room & Hot Tub. Only thing that would have made it better would be the option to pay for an early check in. A few of us had early flights in so trying to waste time and keep kids occupied was the only negative thing. But it all worked out and we had a great time!

The property was beautiful as described. The only thing we were disappointed with was the firepit was out of gas. we used all of the amenities; it was big enough for the entire family to stay and convenient to everything we were planning in the area.

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful home on the hill/ski slope. House was spacious and was well kept. We had enough space for the kids, us adults and two dogs. I would say the fridge wasn’t the greatest and the electric stove didn’t work as well as the gas. Also no Keurig, house should have one!

The additional main floor bar and card table were a plus. The only small negative would be that a couple of the rooms could have used an additional bed instead of a futon.

Very nice home

We stayed here for thanksgiving with our family of 12 and had an amazing time. The house was the perfect size, the open floor plan from the large beautiful kitchen, to the large square 12 seating dining room table to the living room. A keurig would have been nice too as the coffee pots were super slow. The chairs in the living area were a little beat up, but other than that it was great! There were two bars with mini fridges as well. We had so much fun playing games with our family in the “game room” off of the main floor. Many games for us to play. Two large refrigerators and 2 ovens couldn’t have been more perfect along with 2 dishwashers! The downstairs was fantastic with a pool table , theatre room and ping pong table. Easy access to the trails and just a wonderful time had by all. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!!

DRYER UPSTAIRS DID NOT WORK. BACK SLIDING DOOR ~ DID NOT LOCK. SOME OF THE PLUGS IN THE KITCHEN DID NOT WORK. STEP OFF THE DECK ~ LOOSE BOARD & A FEW PEOPLE TRIPPED. I BELIEVE THESE THINGS NEED TO BE FIXED WITH THE MONEY THE OWNERS ASK FOR TO RENT THIS LODGE.

As advertised

Family, 11 of us, had a great time. The place is perfect for a large gathering as there are many separate spaces for people to congregate as well as plenty of room for everyone to sit down to a meal together. Theater room is awesome, and my only regret as I didn’t get to use it more! Only complaint was the quality of the cookware, but I feel like that’s pretty standard and rental properties since renters generally don’t take care of what’s there. But what they lack in quality they certainly made up in quantity! They had pretty much every kind of kitchen utensil and appliance. We went to do in the summer, but can’t imagine how wonderful it would be to have a place in the winter. When they say ski in ski out, it absolutely fits the bill.

Safety Concerns

We recently stayed for a long weekend, 7 adults and 7 children all under age 5. The house was very large and sufficient for a large group (great kitchen and bar areas). We did have a concern on the deck. There was a large nail sticking up by the hot tub and the railing was not very sturdy on a large portion of the deck (along with the gate) which was very concerning considering that there were young kinds there.

This house was huge, accommodating, and so loaded with Absolutely you need to entertain! Ice maker! Multiple blenders! Tons of serving ware, pans, plates, glassware! An entertainers dream!

Nice house but had four days of rain. And forth night the windows in great room were dripping inside

Called management company about window leaks in the big window wall! They were Very nice. They were putting in a work order and asked what they could do. Told them we used six big newly laundered towels to absorb water on window seals and we could use some new clean towels. Agreed but never saw them. No one came to Check windows but only happens during down pours. Also the hot tub maintenance people came for regular service and reset temp to 85 and could not get it hotter!

The house was located in an ideal location, very convenient and close to everything we needed to do and every place we needed to go. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed everything to the fullest, as well as all the other amenities--hot tub, deck, movie theater, game rooms up and downstairs, etc. There was a problem with one of the beds in the bedroom with the bunk beds--it was extremely uncomfortable for the senior who slept, or tried, to sleep in it. The springs were coming up through the mattress. We tried to reinforce it with pillows, blankets, etc., to make it a more comfortable for was a little better but not very much.Overall, we had a really great time and enjoyed the beautiful, well-equipped house and look forwarding to going back again.

The extra fridge space & ice machine definitely were a bonus. The only suggestions I have is making the media room a little easier to use. We had a hard time getting a DVD to play & when we did hook it up, the screen was green. And also the hot tub could use some maintenance m. When I opened it Sunday before we left it smelled awful. The thing that holds the chlorine tablet was black. Overall the house was great & there’s a good chance we will be back!

Reviewer Comments: We have had the chance to ski in Colorado, N.Y., Italy and Austria and this past week @ WISP has been the most fun we have ever had skiing. The once every 15 year winter storm during the night, bright sunny days and a stunning property were a perfect combination. The property surpassed all expectations we've had. Beautiful, stylish, clean, spacious, superb location what more can I say. Attention in the details, from every kitchen utensil and equipment imaginable to a vast collection of board games and books to entertain the family. You can definitely feel the time and love spent to decorate and make the property feel like a HOME. Next time we will opt to rent a 4 x 4 vehicle as we were stuck up on the mountain for a while. Management was on point. Due to snow storm and our lack of experience in driving in snow ( we are from Puerto Rico) we were late arriving to check in, next day they went up the mountain to get our signatures. Will definitely recommend the property. we'll love to be back.

1st vacation in 20 years!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While planning a vacation with my family I came across this rental in Deep Creek, MD. We were looking for something large enough for 4 adults, a one year old and 3 large dogs. The pictures of this property online are accurate and really don't do justice to the size of the house. The house is on top of the mountain with a ski lift in the backyard. We were there in July so the ski lift gave us more privacy but I'm sure in the winter it is very busy. The house was fully stocked with essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms...towels, blankets, etc. The only comment I will make concerning the kitchen is the choice of cookware. If you like to cook while on vacation I suggest bring your own pots and pans, the ones in the kitchen are pretty old and used. The bottom floor with the pool table, ping pong table and foosball was our go to area when we weren't out exploring. We would definitely return to Deep Creek Lake Resort in the future.
