Will do again!

It was a wonderful spot. We swam off the dock, had campfires, comfortable sleeping, and lots of room to spread out to play and relax. Clean and well stocked. Highly recommend.

Great Hangout House

We had 4 other couples, hanging our for a work event. Great house, very spacious, multiple decks. The hot tub was great, room layout was perfect. Plenty to do without leaving the house.

This is a fantastic property, as good as advertised! We had an excellent time and the home was perfect! Super easy to get to Wisp, very comfortable accommodations and very responsive property management. No complaints whatsoever!

Kookookachoo - 60th birthday celebration

We throughly enjoyed every aspect of this property - waterfront , beautiful views, nice outside spaces ! Very family oriented yet still well decorated and the amenities inside were perfect - a pool table , games - 2 fireplaces - one a wood burning stove - furniture was comfortable! We would rent this home again !

Great property!

We had a great time at this house! Group of 12 guys and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The multi-tiered deck and backyard provides a ton of outdoor space that is great, and the private dock is awesome! Overall great stay!

Winter Wellness Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin and getaway. Everything we needed was in the cabin and it helped tremendously once we noticed we left a few essential. This was a great cabin to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate with friends. We look forward to coming back in the Summer!

Great family getaway

Booked this for my husband, and I and our adult children, No little kids. The room accommodations were perfect, bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen was well appointed. There was everything we needed to cook and eat at home. Other places we’ve stayed, the kitchens were an afterthought with minimal pots, pans, serving/mixing bowls, utensils, etc. This had everything. The living areas we also well thought out for groups to be hanging out in several locations inside and outside so you are not on top of each other.

We had a wonderful weekend. The house was just the right size for our group. Very clean and well maintain. We can't wait to book Kookookachoo for our next get together. When I booked this, the listing on VRBO, stated 4 king bed and 1 queen. We actually had 3 king beds and 2 queens. We had a one minor issue. We had a leak under one of the bathroom sinks, called the service and they sent maintenance out right away and the leak was fixed within the hour.Overall, we would book this property, again.

Perfect Winter Home

Total of 10 adults for a couples trip Friday through Monday and this house was perfection. Our original plan was to go to Wisp on Saturday to ski and tube. House was so comfortable that we opted to just relax and watch movies all day. As the chef of the group I really appreciated the fully stocked (appliance/utensilwise) kitchen. Mixing bowls, bakeware, cutting boards, various knifes, servicing bowls, keurig, blender, food processor and the list goes on. We brought charcoal in the event the gas grill wasn’t working but both were functional. Due to the snow we did not use the fire pit but the hot tub was perfect. Property management was great, prompt, and responsive. House was very clean. We plan on coming back!!

Stunning, Clean and All You Need

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Kookookachoo Deep Creek Lakehouse with our extended family and we had started planning our return trip for next year before we even left! This home is stunning, immaculate and equipped with everything you can think of to host a relaxing, fun-filled family weekend get-together. The layout of the home and rooms are well thought out. Even though you have a house full of people (we had 14), it never felt crowded. There's plenty of room to spread out between the inside and outside spaces. The backyard fire pit area is awesome and a perfect place to relax and reflect on the days events. The walk down to the lake is awesome and well-lit at night. The location of the house is great as well, close to shopping and Swallow Falls Canyon Trail but tucked away to perfection. Highly recommend! Just book it...you will not be disappointed!

Great house for the whole family

We loved the layout and space in the house for our 10 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. The dock was perfect. Everything was as pictured and described. Great house and great vacation!
