"Cabin was very clean and view was beautiful. Bathroom was pretty clean too, bring toilet paper. Only down side was that this is not a cabin by its self - there are two cabins and multiple other structures not pictured. The other cabin was also rented with a couple and a dog and was fairly close to ours. We didn’t have issue though and this still felt very private overall! But I would prepare to not be alone if you stay. "

"Clean room and great views !"

"Great views but on a high cliff which means relying on buses and additional transportation costs in the Denali park area. It was clean but we did get a room which had an elevator next to it and lots of sound from the clothes washing room too. In terms of baggage transfer from the railroad depot to the hotel, we experienced some mishaps with our luggage too and had to complain about missing-materials / torn bags. The Lodge pointed fingers at the Alaska Railroad while the train depot claimed that usually it’s the hotel staff that transfer the luggage in a rough manner. So not entirely a pleasant experience but the views were amazing ofcourse. Can’t complain about Denali!"

"I have stayed at the Princess Lodge in Talkeetna and loved it, so I had high hopes for the Denali Lodge, but my review is a little mixed. The rooms are certainly outdated, but still comfortable and functional. I love how close the lodge is to other restaurants, but they do have more dining and shop options onsite, and the view at the back overlooking the Nenana River is gorgeous. What’s causing me to give it 4 to 5 stars the most is the staff. We tried to check-in 15 minutes early and were very rudely shut down. I understand that a lot of hotels stick to their check-in time, but this was simply 15 minutes early. When checking in then let me know that I would be in a king room, and this was an issue due to me traveling with my brother. I had let them know that due to me traveling with my brother I would need a room with double beds, and I was told because so many people had already checked in I may not be able to get that accommodation. It’s interesting to me how we weren’t able to check in 15 minutes early, but the person who did help me made the comment that so many people had already checked in for the day. Overall, I do feel like I got a good value for my money, but if I were to be back in the area, I would look at alternate places to stay."

"The Homestead Cabin is very rustic, with plywood floors and several level changes, so it may not be ideal for anyone with mobility concerns. It was well equipped for a larger group, although there were only two of us. Its step hillside climb made it difficult if you didn’t drive everywhere. The property had several nice views and outdoor sitting areas and was very private, unlike many other properties we saw nearby. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. We arrived early at the RV park office and were made to wait until exactly 4pm to check in, with little flexibility or helpfulness. More concerning, a cleaning crew arrived early one day without notice and entered the cabin unannounced while we were showering and getting ready. That was inappropriate and a serious privacy and security issue."
