The July 4th flooding was concentrated west of Canyon Lake. Canyon Lake was able to hold all of the flood waters, taking the lake from 40% full to 65% full. Guadalupe River east of Canyon Lake, including our lake and house, was minimally affected. As of today, the water remains contained within the river banks and is slowly receding. The water never made it up to the dock and guests are enjoying the property as usual.

The lake level is lowered slightly for dam construction but luckily we are in a deep part of the river so we still have plenty of water behind the house.

- No smoking inside, no pets allowed. If any of the smoking or pet policies are broken, guests may be fined or asked to vacate without a refund on their booking.
- No events, parties or large gatherings over limit without prior approval. Weddings over 30 people are an additional $850 event fee and must be held outside regardless of weather. You'll be asked to provide a port-o-potty for your guests for septic and accessibility purposes.
- Must be at least 18 years old to book. Photo ID may be required upon check-in
- The property is raised 12 feet and has stairs, therefore it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility though the entire living space is on a single floor.
- The property features exterior security cameras that record sound and video. They do not look into interior spaces.
- Respect the neighbors and their property boundaries at all times. Do not use their dock or ladder to access the water.
- Maintain music and noise to respectable volumes. We have neighbors that live in the area full-time and sound travels easily across the water. Quiet time is 10p.
- Internet speed can be upgraded for work gatherings. Please contact host in advance of your stay for options.
- The Lake Placid public boat ramp is 3.4 miles away, under I-10. Check water levels in advance.

- NOTE: Lake level is controlled by the river authority and weather and thus boat access to dock or general water level cannot be guaranteed. For information on current water levels contact GBRA. As of November of 2021 the Lake Placid dam is damaged and will not be repaired until late 2025. The Lake Lodge was fortunate to retain 8 ft of water and our guests are continuing to enjoy swimming, tubing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Boats are not able to access Lake Placid at this time.
